Tatcha Aburatorigami Blotting Papers

You can thank profligate Japanese royalty for Tatcha's elegant blotting papers: during Imperial times, handmade paper was used to protect gold and silver as it was hammered into decorative gold leaf. Geishas used the leftover papers, flecked with precious metals, to keep their skin matte.

Large, but pricey

I’m a little obsessed with blotting papers and use them daily, so I’ve tried every brand out there. These are a nice large size, but I still usually end up using more than one at a time. They leave my makeup mostly undisturbed, so that’s a plus. Expensive, so I’ve only bought them a few times when I feel like splurging.

omg, the price

The product works ok-fine. The directions say you can use both sides...kinda works. I did feel a little bit elegant using gold flecks on my face. However, $12 for 30 pieces is way too much for regular oil to heavy oil. Totally not cost efficient.

Mehh

The blotting paper is just alright. Maybe my skin is too oily, but I have to use at least 3 papers each time I use this product.

Not worth the buy
Purchased

I love Tatcha! I use many of there products but these papers are not worth the buy. I had to use more than one to make my face non oily. With my other go to papers, I always only use one. My other papers only cost $5 for 50. These are $12 for 30 sheets. I don't recommend these papers.

A favorite of mine
Purchased

Tacha is a great brand and these papers are divine. Twice the size as the normal blotting paper, these soak up every bit of oil on your face without having to use more than one sheet. You get what you pay for, and these are worth every penny.

Handy as a purse item
Purchased

I am a fan of blotting papers, and I like these just fine. Pretty gold flecks. I wish more than 20 came in a pack. I think the quantity could be higher for the price. I am not likely to repurchase for that reason.

Best blotting papers!
Purchased

I have particularly oily skin and often need blotting papers. These help keep it all in check. Their bigger size (and their amazing soaking power) makes them way better than others. I can use one side, and then use the other side. Not so with other blotting papers. They're expensive (understandably, since they do have gold leaf in them), so it's hard to use them often, but they really are the best.

A product you should always have

These are great if you have any unwanted shine or make up flaws. Super convenient and great price! Love them and will always have some in my makeup stash.

Nothing special
Purchased

I buy a lot of things Rachel Zoe says she's a fan of, and I have oily skin so I gave these a shot. They don't seem that great, especially not for the quantity and price. I may have oily skin but with these I blot once and the whole sheet is already filled, whereas similar products I've tried I can blot my whole face with ease. I'll still use these but I don't really see the appeal. Cheaper alternatives next time for me.
