You can thank profligate Japanese royalty for Tatcha's elegant blotting papers: during Imperial times, handmade paper was used to protect gold and silver as it was hammered into decorative gold leaf. Geishas used the leftover papers, flecked with precious metals, to keep their skin matte.
I received this in I think another subscription but decided it was worth sharing my opinion about. These blotting papers are pretty neat. They feel like luxury. That being said, the reason that I only gave it three stars is merely for the product idea itself. I don't need blotting papers nor so I think they're worth the high price tag to perform the same task hat a tissue could do.3
I'm anyways sweaty in my t zone, I use one sheet and I'm good, will repurchase more. I feel girly using these!5
I went through a period of time when my skin was extremely oily. I carried these in my purse and had a set at my desk and they really worked well. It's amazing (and disgusting?) to see how much these sheets can pick up.5
Soooo...I'm a little embarrassed to admit I'm one of those people who will use tissue & toilet paper as blotting paper. After trying out this sample from Birchbox, never again! Highly recommended for those still using tp.4
I bought these for myself. They work as advertised and are a great item to keep handy in your purse. I'll probably get some of these for friends as gifts at some point.5
I unfortunately suffer from shiny skin at times, and I was excited to get these, because I'm very self conscious about the shiny skin. First thing I tried when I got my order, no regrets.5
I threw my dollar blotting papers away. It took 5 or 6 to blot now if needed it takes one, one only.
Really good quality!☺
These are HUGE papers--I had to find a new makeup bag for my purse to put them in. But then, because they are large and meant to be used double sided, you only need one for the oliest of faces. I like how thin and delicate they are. However, they are spendy for what they are, and I've had papers that do the job a little better for a little less money (and fit in my purse a bit better too), even if you have to use more than one.4
I have very oily skin.By the end of my work day I am pretty much gross. If I don't have time to shower before going out I whip out these babies and Voila!! all that gross oil is gone. Reapply makeup and I am as fresh as a daisy! The ultimate lifesaving best product!5
I love Tatcha blotting papers, the gold flecks add some class! They do a great job and do not remove your make-up.5
