When we notice pesky red spots, hyperpigmentation, or a dull cast to our complexions, we don’ t get mad—we get even. Our weapon of choice? This correcting and perfecting CC cream from celebrity dermatologist Dr. Brandt. The product not only minimizes imperfections and evens tone, but offers six other antiaging benefits: It illuminates, primes, smooths, lightly hydrates, and rejuvenates. Furthermore, it offers SPF 30 protection and works well for light-to-medium skin tones. Revenge has never been so sweet (nor has our complexion ever been so clear).
The first few times I used it I didn't shake it up enough and thought it was a hot mess. It came out oily and chunky. Then, I really gave it a good shake and now it is my favorite foundation/moisturizer/illuminator. I'm not even sure what to call it. I no longer need to apply a moisturizer and a concealer. This does the job of both and leaves my damaged skin looking radiant. If you catch it in just the right light there is even a glittery shimmer to it (very subtle.) I'm going to bite the bullet and get this as my new daily skincare product.5
I love the dr. brandt line. I tried the cc glow with Ruby Crystal and it has been the only thing I have used since. Thank you so much Dr. Brandt for offering this product to the public. I love it.
I was considering returning this as I do not like the consistency but now after reading other reviews it seems as if I need to shake it better. That is a lot to ask of someone who has to get ready at 6 a.m. ;) I like the product once applied as it gives my skin a nice glow. I'll keep it and continue using a few more times.4
I had been eyeing this cc cream for months and bit the bullet to pay the high price of this product. Even after shaking the product it's a weird chunky consistency. I have other cc creams which are much more effective for just a fraction of the price. I regret now wasting the money buying this cc cream since its a dud :(3
I have been eye-balling this product on the website for a week or so... trying to convince myself that it's worth the $39 price tag. Low and behold, I found it at T.J. Maxx a few days ago for $12.99. Sorry, BirchBox. BUT... if you aren't lucky enough to live next to the BEST T.J. Maxx in the country (Potomac Yards, Arlington, VA) then you are probably going to have to buy these things at full price (or use your Birchbox points)...
So I bought it and I have been using it for about 4 days... LOVE. It is not really moisturizing... so I still use a cream before I put this on my face... but it blends in nicely... doesn't leave your face sticky... and looks completely natural. I am wearing it underneath a bit of concealer which I used a damp makeup sponge to apply and a bit of powdered blush... and I am loving the results. Skin tone is completely even. I needed WAY less concealer under my eyes than usual.
BOTTOM LINE: RECOMMEND.
All I can say is Wow & thank you BIRCHBOX! This product is amazing & and is a great "multitasking" complexion corrector! My skin has never looked nor felt better :)5
This is a great product. It is very light and moisturizes you skin wonderfully. It did even my tones out on my skin without looking strange as some similar products might. I really like this product for a quick fix on the weekends before going to the grocery. Very nice and I would fully recommend.5
I have a mild acrylate allergy from years of fake nails. I usually don't have much of a problem, but this stuff has so much methyl methacrylate that it literally burned my face. Can't be good for skin of any kind!1
The only thing I do not like about this cc cream is that it separates . You have to be sure to shake it every time you use it . It is a goo product but I wish it had a better consistancy4
I was looking for something that was moisturizing, gave me minimal coverage with a shimmer, and possibly some antiaging benifits. I agree with the other reviews here. It itsn't very moisturizing, seperates, I have to really work to spread it over my face, I can't really wear it under my mineral foundation because it is just too much coverage. It's okay by itself, I won't be purchasing it again given how much it costs in addition.3
