When EVE LOM launched her cleansing balm over twenty-five years ago, Vogue called it “possibly the best cleanser in the world.” A few decades later, it remains the brand’s number one top seller and a favorite of skincare-obsessed ladies in the UK. The botanical formula takes off all traces of makeup and dirt. Plus, it comes with a finely woven muslin cloth to help you exfoliate as you cleanse. We only wish we’d been using it for the past 25 years (hey, better late than never, right?).
Clove oil? Eucalyptus Oil? I would never put these oils on my face, as they would be very irritating to the skin. Redness is not so cool.1
I really like the richness of this cleanser. It definately works best in combination with the cleansing cloth. Both great products.5
Smells nice, feels clean and moisturizing. What more can one ask? I feel it is worth the price.4
This cleanser was a nice surprise from what I originally thought it would be. It came out a bit oily and grainy so I was expected a rough oil slick on my face, but not the case. It's a good combo of velvet-y and exfoliating action which seems well-suited to my oily/combination skin. Also, the strong scent of cloves reminded me of Christmas. Unfortunately, the steep price may keep many from appreciating this product.4
I liked the cleanser. I have very sensitive skin. So I was surprised when EVE LOM didn't break me out.4
This cleanser was the best i've ever used. It just makes your face feel so nice and soft after!5
I have oily skin that tends to break out, and tend to over-exfoliate when I get frustrated. This cleanser was AMAZING... after just one use my skin felt softer, looked less irritated and just seemed healthier. I wasn't bothered at all by the smell, I think that must just be a personal preference thing. It's definitely pricy, but a little goes a long way!!5
This product works nicely but I wouldn't pay that much money for it. The results aren't that magical and a homemade cleanser or cheaper one would make more economical sense. I've used it 4 times and have no complaints but the sample isn't large enough to tell you real results. The smell isn't really that bad either. It smells like a strong olive oil. Nice product. Too pricey.4
This product was just OK for me. I have certainly tried better. I do, however feel that it is above average. I would rather use this than the run of the mill cleanser at the local supermarket. I have very sensitive skin and have to watch what I use. I think there may have been something in it that just did not agree with my chemistry.3
Love the scent, was concerned about the texture - seemed greasy - but really like it!4
