We surveyed all our curly haired friends and the results were unanimous: Miss Jessie’s® detangling formula is the best of the best. Whether your hair is frizz-prone and curly, chemically processed, or just plain parched, it will soften your strands without weighing them down. Plus, it doubles as a leave-in treatment for those days you need an extra layer of hydration.
First, this product isn't really made for me. It's advertised as good for dehydrated, naturally curly, color and chemically treated hair - my hair is none of those. It's straight, untreated, and slightly oily.
Still this conditioner made my hair pretty sleek and smooth.
However, it contains silicones like Amodimethicone - which often can make hair sleek and smooth at first... but lead to buildup over time.
But the real dealbreaker for me is the smell. It smells just terrible to me. Kind of like a cheap "Sea Breeze" scent. Ew. Smell rinses out, but you still have to suffer during the shower.
Maybe it's because my hair needs are different, but I wasn't at all impressed with this product. I have straight, fine hair, but I have tons of it, and it's been color-treated, so the ends are a little dry/frizzy. I was looking forward to this conditioner being the magic potion my hair needed, but it didn't deliver. The conditioner itself was runnier than I thought it would be, though that's probably good for those who use it as a leave-in. I didn't have enough product to try it as a leave-in, because with as much hair as I have, I ended up using the entire sample. It was no better than my regular drugstore conditioner, and I actually had to use more than normal to produce the same result. It's not something I'll be purchasing.1
I am always on the lookout for new hair care products, especially conditioners. Sadly I was disappointed with this one. For starters, the product itself smells awful, kind of like when you get your hair permed. Secondly, it didn't leave my hair feeling any better than if I had used an off brand conditioner.
Just not worth the money in my opinion.
This product didn't work well on my hair - while it was light going on it seemed to leave a residue behind. And I hated the scent. Absolutely hated the scent.1
I absolutely hated the scent, and it stayed with me all day. Even after washing it again that night, I felt like it stuck around. It was thin and it made my hair drier than it already was. I hated the texture, the weight of it (or lack thereof), and how it made my hair feel. Better off using something else.1
I got this product in my Birchbox and I typically dislike receiving hair products, especially teeny tiny samples for 1 time use of conditioner, without even the matching shampoo! This product left my hair greasy and oily, I had to re-wash my hair with my usual shampoo and conditioner. I really hope that I don't receive more of these samples.1
For the price, this conditioner is not really worth it. It does not do anything special for my hair.1
I was excited to try this product because I have wavy, frizzy hair. I followed the directions exactly, but my hair still ended up very frizzy. I'll stick with my $.88 White Rain conditioner.1
Just like any other conditioner... Did not make my hair feel any different than a CHEAP conditioner.1
I have very straight hair, so this conditioner was not meant for me in the first place, but I thought I'd try it out anyway. It's very heavy on my fine hair. I'm sure it works wonders for my curly-haired friends!1
