We surveyed all our curly haired friends and the results were unanimous: Miss Jessie’s® detangling formula is the best of the best. Whether your hair is frizz-prone and curly, chemically processed, or just plain parched, it will soften your strands without weighing them down. Plus, it doubles as a leave-in treatment for those days you need an extra layer of hydration.
This product is my favorite conditioner in the history of conditioners. It leaves my hair soft and silky - and the smell is out of this world! It smells so clean - I catch myself sniffing my own hair throughout the day. I will buy this product until the day I die.5
I enjoyed this product so much that I purchased it. I love that the scent lasts after I blow dry and style my hair so I get whifs of it all day. I have dry hair in a dry climate so a soft result takes a LOT. This wasn't a perfect result, but pretty close. Plus I love the bottle :)4
Love this brand. Makes my hair look and feel good too. People are asking me about my hair and what I've used and I tell them and people want in on my hair secret.4
I have curly hair and bought this along with the shampoo because I thought it would help with my curly hair. I tried it several times and absolutely hate it - it makes my hair feel like I didn't get all of the shampoo and conditioner rinsed out (after this happened the first time I thought this was the case so I made sure to rinse and rinse and rise and my hair still felt like this). Would not recommend this product at all.1
If this product works, I don't know. I tried to love it, I really did. But I could only use it a few times. I couldn't get past the smell.2
I did not sample before buying this product. If I did, I probably would not have bought it... This is meant to be a leave in product which is not what I was looking for. (Not sure if I missed that in the product description or if it wasn't called out that way.)
I know hair product choices come down to more of what your hair likes versus personal preference, so I will say that this isn't my favorite smell. It is far from horrible, but not as nice as some others. It doesn't soften my hair as much as some, but it does tame some of the frizz. I have used it as a leave in and as a rinse out and would just say it is average for me.
My hair is only slightly wavy and highlighted. My stylist put in extra highlights for spring/summer recently which has made my hair crazy dry ever since. Like breaking off, tangly, frizzy, ready-to-shave-my-head-and-start-over dry.
I remembered I had a couple of packs of conditioners stored away that I was waiting to use from my previous Birchboxes. I grabbed Miss Jessie's Original Creme de la Creme Conditioner that claimed to be the "best darn conditioner" because I was desperate and only the best darn conditioner would do.
I gave my hair a good washing and applied this conditioner. I was sure that it wouldn't live up to it's claim because it didn't feel very...well...conditioning. It's very light and non-greasy. No way it could cure my dry hair, right? Wrong!
It rinsed out easily and my hair felt smoother and stronger even while still in the shower. I used a blow dryer to dry it...and wow! Super smooth, silky and not weighted down.
After day two I still had had zero frizz. If you have ever visited southeast Texas....you know that's an accomplishment for any product. Humidity is off the chain here. Two frizz free days because of a single conditioner use is impressive to me.
The smell is not offensive by any means, but it's different than most hair products. It more of a soft clean laundry smell than your typical fruity or perfumy hair products.
I loved it enough to purchase this product and will continue to purchase it.
This is like a large glass of water for dehydrated hair! It is very moisturizing without weighing down my hair. I don't use it as a leave-in treatment because it makes my hair oily but it works great as a normal conditioner.4
I liked the sample well enough that I purchased a full size. I don't use too often but it works okay. It has a powdery odor.3
This moisturizes hair pretty well but it's nothing to write home about. Comparable to any $5 drugstore conditioner such as Aussie or Garnier.3
