Crazy curls, meet your match. This wondrous styling cream is designed to tamp down stubborn kinks and tame frizzy ringlets. The custard-like formula is especially good for ethnic or chemically treated hair, and is the perfect prep for fingerstyling, coiling, twists, and braids. Plus, the fresh pineapple scent makes us want to use it everyday.
I have fine, curly hair and I am always looking for great hair products. I love Miss Jessie's Curly Meringue because I can take a shower before I go to bed and revive my curl in the early morning before I go to work. It smooths away the frizzies and gives shape to my curl. Be advised, a little goes a long way!5
This was the first product from Miss Jessie's that I've tried. I love it. It's my go to styling product for a night out. And I love how using a little keeps the frizz at bay and adding more defines your curls into soft ringlets. I recommend always applying it damp hair, that's been lightly towel dried. If your hair is too wet, you need to apply more product. Also, if you apply too much and it's a dry day, the product will flake off of your hair and look like you walked out in a snow shower. There is a careful balance between too much and too little when you use this particular hair product.4
I have very dry, coarse and unruly hair! This stuff can tame it! Of course I use a ton of other hair products, but this sets the stage. I always need a ton of moisturizing so this fits the bill! I change my routine using several products I think my hair has multiple personalities, but in general I will use this first. Then devacurl gel, coconut oil spray and a minimal hold hairspray. I don't like it crunchy and then I diffuse!5
I think is is great for very thick and curly/wavy hair. It helps with frizziness and I usually like to let my hair air dry instead of blow drying it and this works well when I'm letting my hair air dry! It also enhances my waves!5
Great smell does not leave hair hard dry or sticky great for losse curls or tight curls last all day for that just fresh look
Recommend for biracial hair that wears the curly look
Absolutely love the smell of this stuff! Doesn't take much to enhance my curls and I use it regularly! Great stuff for sure!5
I have a closet full of hair products trying to find "the one" that will handle my strange hair. It will dry straight with a frizzy wave if I brush it straight wet, but will air dry in ringlets with some kind of product. My hair holds a lot of water so dries slow. This seems to keep it wetter longer, but is also a little to heavy for my hair. The smell really bother's me as well. To close to my face to smell that all the time.2
After receiving a Miss Jessie's product sample in my box, I went to the store to purchase again but couldn't recall which product it was. I ended up with the curly meringue, which I like, but not as much as what I originally got. I haven't found a consistent method to make my curls look great - some days I got, others I don't. I find the smell to be totally overwhelming (I'm 6 months pregnant so maybe it's just me). Going to try pillow soft curls after this one.4
I have naturally curly, fairly fine, brown hair. I was really wanting this to be the last product I tried. But, as I should have figured by now, there is no prefect product. My hair still gets frizzy and doesn't stay together. I have found it better used as a cream after my mousse, and after my hair has dried most of the way.
Does leave things nice and soft, but curls don't stay defined for me.
I bought this because I have natural cure hair and only used it twice but not sure if I applied too much or too little. I will keep you posted but for now let's just say that I'm obviously going to use it because I paid $ but if you can give pointers on application that would be great!!4
