Crazy curls, meet your match. This wondrous styling cream is designed to tamp down stubborn kinks and tame frizzy ringlets. The custard-like formula is especially good for ethnic or chemically treated hair, and is the perfect prep for fingerstyling, coiling, twists, and braids. Plus, the fresh pineapple scent makes us want to use it everyday.
I really love Miss Jessie's Quick Curl and wanted to try a different product to see if I could get more definiteion to my curls. I have boingy-type curls that frizz up in summer (I am caucasian) The Curly Meringue didn't do what I wanted - maybe I could mix it with the Quick Curl.3
I have naturally curly hair. I don't have tight ringlets.
This product makes my hair soft but it does not provide a ton of control.
I am transitioning from relaxed to natural hair. This product was too heavy and greasy. It may work better for completely natural hair.3
I have fine blonde hair and the product is way too heavy. It made my hair look greasy and stringy. It does smell amazing though.3
Overall, I liked this product. It smells really nice (but strong, so if you don't like pineapple, it's not for you). It was good at defining my curls, but they still seemed a bit crunchy when I used this product, but not too bad.3
The texture is a bit difficult to work with as it's very tacky and hard to evenly distribute. I've since figured out that it's best to just apply to the ends of my curls to tame the frizziness and maintain even curl structure and use my daily product throughout the rest of my hair.3
I had hoped this would be more like a leave in conditioner, but it's a thick cream. I use this after shampoo/conditioning my hair and was amazed by how soft and shiny my hair was. I use it on my kiddos too who have curly thick hair and it works beautifully!3
I didn't love this product like I loved the Pillow soft curls. It is ok, but a little on the thick and sticky side. Not easy to glide through my thick coarse curls.3
I tried Curly Meringue to try and control my frizzy curls. It had a strong fruity scent that gave me a headache. It also seemed to heavy for my hair and left it feeling to thick and kinda filmy. i did like the texture of the cream and the packaging but felt let down about the scent and its effectiveness.3
I use this product sparingly as it can make my curls hard and unnatural looking. It does have good control, but I like products that offer a more natural look.3
