Crazy curls, meet your match. This wondrous styling cream is designed to tamp down stubborn kinks and tame frizzy ringlets. The custard-like formula is especially good for ethnic or chemically treated hair, and is the perfect prep for fingerstyling, coiling, twists, and braids. Plus, the fresh pineapple scent makes us want to use it everyday.
Curly Meringue did nothing for my fine, curly hair. I would guess it works best for medium/coarse locks. If you've got fine curls, stick with the Quick Curls product.1
This curling cream is one of the few that work great on my hair. It's ideal for defined curls and texture The cream smells lovely, though in the summer heat can be overbearing. Th onyl other downside is that it feels a bit heavy on the curls.4
My hair is not that curly, but with this product I'm able to play with my hair and have great big curls.
Amazed by how much came on the sample size!!!!!
Let me start by saying that I have very difficult, frizzy, coarse, curly hair. I recently grew it long hoping to embrace the look and was having a hard time. I started using this product a few weeks ago and absolutely love it. My hair actually looks nice and under control without being weighed down. The smell is amazing and I'm constantly getting compliments on how good my hair looks and smells. So glad I found this product!5
This creme is lightweight and works wonders on my permed hair.5
I was very excited to receive this product. I was disappointed when I used it. It weighed my hair down and I didn't like the feeling of my hair.3
This is probably the most effective curl cream I have ever used. It keeps curls soft, but well defined. The only complaints I have are the ingredients, which are very chemical based (as opposed to natural oils etc.) and the fact it requires a maintenance product like Baby Buttercream.4
This cream is great at taming my big frizzy curls. I'm white, with medium-length, thick, red hair with tight curls. I have frizz all year round, but it's at its worst in the steamy summer.
I use Curly Meringue like I would any other curl styling product: rub some in my hands and scrunch into damp hair and air day. It consistently results in bigger softer (looking and to the touch) curls that aren't frizzy or too voluminous. *Note* I use only about 1/2 of what the directions suggest because more weighs down my curls too much. I got to that amount by trial and error and suggest that you do the same, especially if your hair isn't very dry or kinky.
The one drawback for me is that it requires me to wash my hair every day, or else I end up with greasy looking locks (if I use half the regular amount I use with just-washed hair) or limp and frizzy (i don't use any product). I suspect that's because I have normal hair, that isn't dry and usually doesn't need to be washed more than 3 times/week. If you have hair on the dry side, the greasy effect probably wouldn't be an issue for you.
The bottom line is that even though I have to wash my hair more often (and therefore have to condition it more often too), it's not such a big problem that I would stop using the product. I love the consistently good hair days that Curly Meringue gives me too much.
I seriously love this product. I put it on while my hair is wet and when it dries, it is soft, frizz free, and good to go. I love how I get tendrils of soft curls, not hard spirals like with other products. It smells divine too!5
i dont use this product on my hair but i use it on my 3 year old daughters hair she has curly curly hair and this product makes it look great it kinda gives it a wet look but it is not wet and looks great4
