It's a cardinal curly hair rule: Work with your strands, not against them. Miss Jessies® makes that easy with this weightless styling cream, which enhances hairs natural bounce and shape without any heaviness. Whether your hair is naturally kinky, curly, or wavy, the moisturizing formula does away with frizz and dryness. This light-as-air cream gets to work immediately, sealing in hydration and adding shine, while also softening and strengthening each strand. The secret to the formula is its winning combo of plant extracts, including grape seed, lavender, and chestnut. You can thank an infusion of ginger flower and lime for the fresh, sweet scent. And since this cream is packed full of moisturizing botanicals, it doubles as a rescue treatment for fried and over-processed hair.
Soooo...I could not stand the smell of this product and it did not work well for me. I gave it to a co-worker who love it. Maybe I'm picking but the smell gave me a headache.1
To be totally honest, I thought the Miss Jessie's line was for black girls. I am from Atlanta, where the line is from, and all of her ads are directed towards black girls. However, when I received it in my box, I figured I must have thought wrong. After using it, I'm still not sure. I have very, very thick, but not coarse, wavy hair. I decided to give this a try the day before a hair cut (I figured if I didn't like it, they could wash it out), and after putting on the directed amount, my hair felt like I had covered it in baby oil. It was super-heavy, and while it gave me gorgeous, super-soft curls, my hair looked wet for the rest of the day. I ended up washing it that night because I was worried it would leave some kind of oil mark on my pillow. The next day I told my hair dresser about it and he agreed, he also thought it was for black girls. I guess, overall, I am just confused. It made my hair super soft, but I feel like it was just too much for my hair.1
I used this product as directed, on damp hair, and didn't find that it made much difference to my hair-- if anything, it felt sort of weighed down. I didn't really like the smell of the product itself, and it's so liquidy that it sort of went all over as I was applying.1
I was excited to get this after reading all of the positive reviews, but it was just way too heavy for my curls. It made my hair greasy. I did not use as much as they recommend on the package, and even then it was still greasy.1
Maybe I do not have the right kind of hair for this product, but all it did was weigh my curls down and make them crunchy. I wouldn't call the product weightless at all!1
Really, really wanted to see a difference but no luck. Didn't smooth frizz at all for my wavy hair. Felt a little waxy to me when applied.1
I have fine hair, which I think is somewhere between a 2b and a 2c curl pattern. This made me look like a hot frizzy mess. It made my hair SO much curlier, I mean little coils everywhere. Sticking up and fluffy. So I guess if you want to enhance curls, this would be good. I was just looking to eliminate frizz and define. This made my hair even more frizzy!1
This product just made my hair flat and frizzy. I even purchased it twice, but was still unhappy with the results.1
My hair is frizzy and dries quick right after a shower, but I didn't really like this stuff. It didn't do anything for me.1
This product did nothing but make my hair feel and look nasty. It did not smell good, either. I would not recommend this to anyone.1
