It's a cardinal curly hair rule: Work with your strands, not against them. Miss Jessies® makes that easy with this weightless styling cream, which enhances hairs natural bounce and shape without any heaviness. Whether your hair is naturally kinky, curly, or wavy, the moisturizing formula does away with frizz and dryness. This light-as-air cream gets to work immediately, sealing in hydration and adding shine, while also softening and strengthening each strand. The secret to the formula is its winning combo of plant extracts, including grape seed, lavender, and chestnut. You can thank an infusion of ginger flower and lime for the fresh, sweet scent. And since this cream is packed full of moisturizing botanicals, it doubles as a rescue treatment for fried and over-processed hair.
This smells delicious, and it's a de-frizzer without glycerin, (as far as I can tell,) an ingredient that makes me break out. It works about as well as a normal leave in conditioning cream. I did not blow dry and it didn't look greasy or permanently "wet." It's nice!3
Love this product it works really well... my only complaint is that the scent is a little too strong. If they could take it down a notch that would be great.
I have wavy hair and when it's humid it becomes unmanageable, Quick Curls is the first product i've ever used that leaves my hair light and frizz free while still keeping a bouncy curl.
I think this product is intended for more coarse, ethnic hair. In fact, I have very thin, fine, caucasian hair. I wasn't a big fan of the smell, but I will probably still use the sample that I have. It left my hair feeling greasy, but that's again probably because my hair is not the intended user. Not completely sure why this was even in my Birchbox.4
Soo expensive, but so great. I apply this to my hair after washing my hair and when my hair dries, The waves are beautifully enhanced with much less frizz than usual. The product advises to use a tablespoon's worth of the cream and they're right. Any less than that and you won't see much results. At the same time, putting a tablespoon's worth in my hair made it feel a little..product-y. If I ran my hand over my hair, I could definitely tell I had put some sort of product in it. If people just look, don't touch, then this product is great!
Also, I love the light ginger lime scent. Personally, I find the scent invigorating.
I have very long, curly hair that tangles and frizzes pretty easily. To try to maintain it, I always use Argan oil after towel drying my hair, followed by some sort of frizz-free cream - the last few years, I've stayed loyal to one made by Matrix. This Miss Jessie's product is comparable, and works pretty well. I have no complaints about its effectiveness, but I'm not completely sold on the smell. It's not a bad smell, but it's a little stronger than I would like.3
This stuff is AMAZING. I have fine, curly hair that is extremely prone to stretching and frizzing. I've tried cremes, serums, gels, mousses, you name it... nothing has ever worked as well as this. My only trick has always been to brush my hair well before washing and then not touch it at all to maintain my natural ringlets. With Quick Curls, I was able to function like a normal person and still have soft, springy, natural looking curls after 12 hours of working hard in the hot humidity. I love this stuff.5
I like the texture of this product and I think it serves as a nice conditioning curling cream for someone with really curly hair but tends to be kind of heavy for less curly hair. Still I really like the product and think it does a nice job.4
I really like the smell and the way it separates my curls and looks texturized.5
I have curly (and colored) hair and, although I have found the perfect products for my hair, I still decided to try Miss Jessie's® Quick Curls.
I have a very neutral opinion on it, it is not a bad product at all, it is even quite good actually. I'm just not that into it because the Davines products I use are so perfect in every way that nothing can even compare to them.
I like what this product does for my curls...totally makes them soft and keeps frizz away. Its kind of like a leave in conditioner, mouse, and shine spray all in one. The smell is the only reason I would not buy it. Its really strong and sets my allergies off.4
