It's a cardinal curly hair rule: Work with your strands, not against them. Miss Jessies® makes that easy with this weightless styling cream, which enhances hairs natural bounce and shape without any heaviness. Whether your hair is naturally kinky, curly, or wavy, the moisturizing formula does away with frizz and dryness. This light-as-air cream gets to work immediately, sealing in hydration and adding shine, while also softening and strengthening each strand. The secret to the formula is its winning combo of plant extracts, including grape seed, lavender, and chestnut. You can thank an infusion of ginger flower and lime for the fresh, sweet scent. And since this cream is packed full of moisturizing botanicals, it doubles as a rescue treatment for fried and over-processed hair.
I liked this product at first, but wondered why my hands felt so greasy for the rest of the day. Realized it too late after I ordered the full size bottle. One of the main ingredients is mineral oil, and it was soaking into my hands during styling and when I adjusted my hair throughout the day. Not good. Returning my purchase.1
I haven't had much luck with glycerin-based curly hair products, so I was wary before I even put it in my hair. Sure enough, getting it through my curls required breaking them up, and then they wouldn't go back together into locks, leaving me with a big poof ball on my head all day. Plus it made my curls a little crunchy, even though I used a VERY conservative amoung. I'm very glad I didn't buy this based only on the reviews and (finally) got to sample it.
It smelled fresh and citrusy, which was nice.
This curl cream has a nice texture and smell. It helped define my curls without weighing them down. It doesn't control frizz quite as well as my current brand but I liked it.3
I definitely think that this product did its job as far as holding curl, but I couldn't help being reminded of the off brand toilet cleaner my mom used to buy. As hard as I tried, I couldn't justify this product's worth over the smell.2
Really liked the natural look it gave my curls. Doesn't work well in keeping the frizz away though.4
I used the tablespoon amount that the packet recommended, and regretted it. It was way too much. I think about half to a quarter of that amount might be good unless you have a ton of thick curls. It left my fine waves soft, but borderline greasy. I like the Devacurl much better.3
I have curly hair that can sometimes be unmanageable and so it was nice to find this product. It helped keep my curls to a good style that I could wear for everyday style.4
I have half wavy half crazy curly hair and this product not only turned my waves to curls but tamed my already present crazy curls. I have been looking for a product that wouldn't make my hair crunchy or weigh it down, and I think I might have finally found something worth the money!5
This product made my hair feel very greasy and heavy. I have a natural wave to my hair and this product did not help to enhance that AT ALL!1
I have never used a product that creates as much curls and bounces as this one does! After just a few uses my friends started asking me if I curled my hair! This product really works. I have collarbone length brown hair that is average in thickness and shine and I saw great results!5
