Along with dark skinny jeans and distressed leather jackets, this unisex perfume from the NY-based clothing label exudes downtown cool. BLK DNM founder Johan Lindeberg—a fashion industry veteran who has worked with the likes of Justin Timberlake—set out to create a “perfume with character.” The resulting scent is a spicy blend that will set you apart from the sweet-smelling masses.
The pepper smell is overwhelming. Just awful on me. I love perfume samples and generally give them a couple uses before making a decision. This one is going straight in the trash.1
I love getting perfume samples, and its always a plus when the sample has the spray top as this one did. I do wish the sample was a bit bigger or at least maybe more as an extra throw-in sample since I can get a free sample in that size from Sephora, but I do still like getting them. Only thing was that I hated the smell. Im gonna see if any of my friends like it, but it was not for me. It was very strong and just not good at all, but that is just my opinion.1
I am finicky when it comes to perfumes so it didn't really have a chance with me. It's more to my daughter's taste...too sweet for me.2
Its more for a male than a female because it has a muskiness to it..2
It is a very spicy scent. I don't want to say I instantly regretted spraying it on my skin but I do wish I had sprayed it into the air instead of having it linger on my wrist for the rest of the day. I do have pretty specific tastes in fragrances and I love that you are trying to expand my horizons by giving me different scents to smell but this one has to be my least favorite out of all the ones I have been given so far.2
It's good in theory, but there's too much cedar in the top note for me.2
I wish we could request not to receive perfume samples. We get so many of them and it's just not something I'm interested in.
This is a musky, earthy, soft, unisex scent. It goes on strong but fades fairly quickly. If you are looking for something similar to Kate Walsh "Boyfriend" but higher end, this might be just the ticket. No flower or fruit notes, all base notes.2
It smells like the cedar chips I used in my hamsters cages when I was a kiddo.2
It is nice for what it is, I'm just not that into musky scents, personally. On the plus side, this does seem versatile, so I can see how it could work nicely for others who have different taste in personal scents.2
