Until recently, sensitive-skinned girls had to steer clear of at-home peels for fear of ending up with red, angry complexions. All that changed when Juice Beauty released this version of their powerful Green Apple Peel. Suitable for even the most delicate skin types, it delivers visible smoothing results after just one use. This patented, award-winning formula peel is made with a gentle yet effective dose of organic, fruit-derived hydroxy acids and raw sugar cane, which exfoliates to reduce breakouts and even out skin tone. We love how the mild tingle lets us know this peel is really working.
I wasn't a fan of this product. I didn't feel it made any changes. I didn't like the scent or texture on my skin. I couldn't wash it off fast enough. I did trade it for a coworker who also is a Birchbox subscriber and she loved it. I guess it just wasn't for me.1
I was pretty excited about this product, not only had I read a lot about it on my own, but one of my MUA friends siad the Juice line was amazing. I do have sensitive skin which really made me excited. I followed the directions, but it honestly just laid on the surface of my skin. Two days later I decided to try again after using my clarisonic, but again I didn't feel absolutely any difference. I am glad I tried it so I wouldn't waste my money.1
I have sensitive skin, and this product was too strong.1
It kind of stung for a minute or so then I had a breakout for a week after using it. I'm still kind of coming out of the breakout phase 1.5 weeks later. I thought it was working when it sort of stung my face for a little bit, but now I think it was probably harming it. I broke out on my forehead, nose, and cheeks, I have never broken out there before (the most I get is on my chin during that time of the month). It wasn't like a bad breakout just a couple of white heads....but definitely not the result I wanted. Oh well, this product just isnt for me. Side note: It smelled really good!1
I wasn't really sure what to expect with this product, and it didn't exceed my non-existant expectations. It smelled kind of gross, felt sticky, didn't tingle, and made no noticeable difference in my skin. At least it didn't cause me to break out.1
They label this product as for "sensitive skin". Let me tell you how inaccurate that is. I do in fact have sensitive skin, and after about two minutes, I couldn't wait to get it off my face. It burned almost immediately, and on top of that, it didn't really do much. I didn't notice any difference after trying to stick it out and leave it on for about 5 minutes. Don't waste your money. It's really a shame, I do like this brand, but this product is awful.1
I cannot tell that this product did anything it claims to do. I've had real chemical peels, and this product should not even call itself a peel, since it doesn't take away any layer of skin. I noticed no difference in tone, brightness, etc, and it certainly can't call itself an exfoliating product either.1
I've never used an exfoliating peel before, but it started to burn toward the end and was very uncomfortable.1
I have fairly normal skin, not "sensitive skin" as this product caters to, so I was hoping this would be a mild but effective masque. However, I would NOT recommend this to someone with sensitive skin as my normal skin was red and burning after the 10 minutes were up; I can't imagine how someone with sensitive skin would react to this!! Despite it hurting my skin I gave it a good shot and kept it up for about two weeks, twice a week as directed, but I found no positive difference in my skin and actually began to get more breakouts than usual. The smell is great, but that's about it. Absolutely not worth it.1
i didn't care for this product. i really didn't notice any results after using it. i thought since it was for sensitive skin, it would be really gentle on my skin... but no. i broke out after using it. the smell is about the only thing this product has going for it.1
