Until recently, sensitive-skinned girls had to steer clear of at-home peels for fear of ending up with red, angry complexions. All that changed when Juice Beauty released this version of their powerful Green Apple Peel. Suitable for even the most delicate skin types, it delivers visible smoothing results after just one use. This patented, award-winning formula peel is made with a gentle yet effective dose of organic, fruit-derived hydroxy acids and raw sugar cane, which exfoliates to reduce breakouts and even out skin tone. We love how the mild tingle lets us know this peel is really working.
The one good thing I will say about this product is that my face was noticeably smoother after one use. Other reviewers have said they loved the scent, but I thought it was awful. I checked the expiration date, but it was fine. I was expecting it to smell sweet like a jolly rancher, but I thought it smelled more like a rotting apple. Also, the texture was very thin, almost like a serum. I had to very carefully apply it because I was afraid of it being absorbed. Also, I had to apply lotion after washing it off. I did like the results though, so I will try thicker masks in the future.1
Holy moly did this burn. Since the product is for "sensitive skin," I really was not expecting that level of pain from this peel. I struggled to keep it on for the full 10 minutes (as recommended on the packaging). The stuff does tighten up after ten minutes, and then you just rinse it off. I neither saw nor felt any difference in my skin after rinsing off this mask. I was hoping I'd get some sort of result from going through that burning sensation -- but I got nothing. The smell is also pretty horrible, too. I was excited about the possibility of a 'green apple' scent, but it smelled more like really bad baby food.1
I really wanted to like this product. There is a small scent to it that is barely noticeable, and not a bad scent. The product goes on smooth and I loved the tingling sensation it gave my skin, made it feel more like it was actually working. However, I was a greaseball come morning and I broke out on my cheeks. I have used this product twice so I'm not positive it is the cause of my break out but the oil factor was a lot worse in the am than prior to using it.1
hard to write a review as to long term effects with such a small sample, but I liked the smell and it wasn't too harsh on my sensitive skin.1
I didn't notice any difference/improvement in my skin after using. No change whatsoever. I was also expecting a green apple scent, due to the name of the product. Weird disappointment - the fragrance is awful. Didn't set a good tone for my first use. The idea of a sensitive skin peel is intriguing, but this one just doesn't cut it.1
When I first opened this cute little jar, I have to say that I was impressed by the green apple smell. I don't normally use a peel, so I really didn't know what I was getting myself into. I applied a thin layer to my face and neck, and set my timer for 10 minutes. I felt the mask tightening on my skin a tiny bit, but other than that, I didn't feel much. After the time was up, I rinsed the mask off my face. My skin is pretty sensitive, so it was nice not to notice any sort of break out. Other than that, I don't think this peel actually did anything. I don't notice any long term effects, and with the price tag, this won't be something I buy!1
This product did very little for my skin. I did not notice any of the described benefits. However, I would be curious in trying other products from this line because I like the concept.1
It did not have a good smell at all, I like the peel itself, but the scent needs to be improved. I didn't notice it clearing out blackheads or anything...1
I wasn't a fan of this product. I didn't feel it made any changes. I didn't like the scent or texture on my skin. I couldn't wash it off fast enough. I did trade it for a coworker who also is a Birchbox subscriber and she loved it. I guess it just wasn't for me.1
I was pretty excited about this product, not only had I read a lot about it on my own, but one of my MUA friends siad the Juice line was amazing. I do have sensitive skin which really made me excited. I followed the directions, but it honestly just laid on the surface of my skin. Two days later I decided to try again after using my clarisonic, but again I didn't feel absolutely any difference. I am glad I tried it so I wouldn't waste my money.1
