Until recently, sensitive-skinned girls had to steer clear of at-home peels for fear of ending up with red, angry complexions. All that changed when Juice Beauty released this version of their powerful Green Apple Peel. Suitable for even the most delicate skin types, it delivers visible smoothing results after just one use. This patented, award-winning formula peel is made with a gentle yet effective dose of organic, fruit-derived hydroxy acids and raw sugar cane, which exfoliates to reduce breakouts and even out skin tone. We love how the mild tingle lets us know this peel is really working.
I have sensitive skin, and I was skeptical of trying this peel, but it worked fine with my skin. The smell is amazing, and I like that it is gentle. I felt it tightened my skin, and left it feeling more toned.1
Didn't use long enough to see results. Burning feeling while applied. Not my cup of tea.1
This feel stung to the tipping point of burning so I had to rinse off after about 1 minute (if that). My skin continued to burn for a few minutes after rinsing off. For reference, the gel exfoliator I purchase from my aesthetician does not irritate my skin at all.1
The smell and the texture of the product were nice, however this particular type of product is just not for me.1
I love peels, so I was excited to see this product at first glance. But with some first impressions, understanding what we see can be deceiving. This product is not your average ‘peel’, but rather a sticky serum that you apply & wash off after 10 minutes. The problem with peels that don’t actually, peel, is that they leave more dead skin behind. Having sensitive skin, I was not impressed with this product, noticing that it did not deliver as promised. While it might attract an organic fan base, for those looking for an effective skin peel will be left feeling disappointed and their wallets empty.1
I was really excited about this product because I have extremely sensitive skin, rather large pores, and a problem with mid-twenties acne and blemishes I was hoping it would alleviate. I washed my face and applied the peel as directed, expecting the tingle I had been warned about. Within 5 seconds, my skin was stinging and within 5 minutes it was itching. I kept it on, thinking it was likely just the acidity in the product since it's a fruit based product. I took it off at about 8 minutes because I couldn't stand it any longer. It made my face break out terribly, and still itches even after being thoroughly washed off.1
I like a good, strong peel, and this "sensitive" peel is just that; too sensitive. After using it twice a week for two weeks, my skin looks and feels exactly the same. I think I'll go back to my 20% pumpkin peel.1
I have very sensitive skin, and so I'm always a bit worried about trying a new product. I needn't've worried: other than the nasty plastic scent and a slight tingle, this product did nothing for my skin. I followed the directions the first time, and nothing happened. I left it on longer for the second time, and still nothing. It didn't make my skin brighter, it didn't minimize lines, it didn't exfoliate.1
I'm sorry, I tried this product, not knowing what to expect, but to be completely honest, I did not notice any difference at all. I applied the product and it got slightly warm for a second, left it on for 10 minutes, and then washed it off. I did not see or feel any difference. It smelled nice though :)1
I didn't think this product did anything for me. I was quite shocked to see it was kind of pricey considering it didn't seem to be effective.1
