Until recently, sensitive-skinned girls had to steer clear of at-home peels for fear of ending up with red, angry complexions. All that changed when Juice Beauty released this version of their powerful Green Apple Peel. Suitable for even the most delicate skin types, it delivers visible smoothing results after just one use. This patented, award-winning formula peel is made with a gentle yet effective dose of organic, fruit-derived hydroxy acids and raw sugar cane, which exfoliates to reduce breakouts and even out skin tone. We love how the mild tingle lets us know this peel is really working.
I wasn't too crazy about this particular sample. I didn't feel like it did much to my skin when I took it off. It seemed a little slimy but sticky at the same time if that makes sense. I prefer a clay mask but wanted to give this a try. I do love the smell though!1
It might be because I have never used a product like this before, but I didn't like it at all. I thought it smelled bad, and wasn't comfortable on my face. The only thing I really noticed is that it did tighten my skin, but the effects only lasted a little while. Not a fan.1
So I was looking forward to trying this product. It said it was for sensitive skin so I thought my face wouldn't complain about it. I put the peel on and automatically my face felt like it was on fire. My face felt like it was burning so I had to take it off. I was disappointed because it said for sensitive skin guess my skin is too sensitive. I gave it to my sister hopefully she had better luck with it.1
I could not wait to use this, but after two uses, I think I can confidently say this does nothing. Not even the least bit of tingling and my skin does not even look remotely different. Even something as simple as moisturizer has at least some effect on my face. I wasn't expecting a miracle, but DO SOMETHING.1
hate to write neg reviews. :-( but it didn't work for me. Face stung as I applied it, and felt dry and tight much longer than the 10 minutes I waited to wash it off...1
This product sounds like the ideal natural alternative to “chemical” exfoliants, such as alpha and beta hydroxy acids. However, what Juice Beauty chose as stand-ins for glycolic and salicylic acids are not the same thing (despite the company labeling them as such, a practice that should be stopped because it doesn’t meet FDA or international cosmetic regulations for ingredient labeling). The citric acid from the lemon juice and tartaric acid from the grapes may have a peeling effect on skin, but at the cost of unnecessary irritation due to volatile constituents in each acid. The antioxidants in this peel would be much more helpful for skin if jar packaging hadn’t been chosen. All told, this presents far more problems than your skin should have to tolerate. The blend of lemon juice with tartaric acid is simply too irritating for all skin types, and the research isn’t there to support the use of these ingredients over well-established AHAs and BHA.1
This product just didn't work for me, however I don't have sensitive skin.1
Lemon juice w/ tartaric acid is too irritating for skin, not to mention dirty fingers in the jar packaging. Why isn't this in a tube?1
I have not ever tried a peel. I am excited to see what this does.1
I was exciting to try this sample since it's for sensitive skin but I couldn't stand the smell and washed it off after only a few minutes. I was expecting a fresh scent but it smelled just like chemicals and was unpleasant. Very disappointed.1
