Until recently, sensitive-skinned girls had to steer clear of at-home peels for fear of ending up with red, angry complexions. All that changed when Juice Beauty released this version of their powerful Green Apple Peel. Suitable for even the most delicate skin types, it delivers visible smoothing results after just one use. This patented, award-winning formula peel is made with a gentle yet effective dose of organic, fruit-derived hydroxy acids and raw sugar cane, which exfoliates to reduce breakouts and even out skin tone. We love how the mild tingle lets us know this peel is really working.
I opened the product and it surprised me how watery it was. I tried to shake it up, but it did nothing for the consistency. I'm honestly not sure how it is supposed to work. It is too watery to sit on your face and be absorbed. It wasn't soapy, no lather. I just don't see how it could be effective.2
The product was so watery, it basically spilled out of the tube before I could catch it. It also smells so fruity that it seems kind of cheap and unnatural. I may be able to look past those things if it made a big difference in my complexion, but it wasn't that amazing.2
I have used products from this brand in the past and have enjoyed them, however - this particular product had me stumped. It is sticky and and runny and did not seem to improve my skin texture.2
I was very excited to see this product in my box. It sounded like exactly something I would be interested in after reading the short blurb about it in the info packet. However, when I tried it I was shocked to see it was a milky consistency. I thought my product was damaged at first, and then realized it was supposed to be that texture. The product also didn't seem to be particularly effected. I didn't notice any difference in my skin after its use.2
This made my skin burn and turned it bright red. I actually only left it on for 5 min as well!
I feel my skin is only slightly sensitive and this is the first time I have ever had any kind issues with a face product. I was excited to try it but it's not for me! :(
Didn't care for the smell, when I went to use it just poured out all liquid. I put it on per instruction and just wasn't impressed . There are better masks/ peels out there2
First of all, receiving this product in a tube packaging, I was surprised when the product was very liquidy. It would work much better in a pump bottle or a foil packet - a squeeze tube makes me think it will be a gel or lotion consistency. The liquidyness made it a bit hard to apply. It goes on feeling more like a serum. Didn't notice any difference to my skin. Overall, this one was a dud for me.2
First off, it's pretty runny. And when I first put it on my face, it felt slimy. Then as it dried it felt sticky. And then, when I tried to rinse it off, it felt like there was still some residue of the stuff even though I thoroughly rubbed my face. THEN, it felt like my skin was too greasy. The next morning, however, my face felt nice and moisturized. Still, it was such a weird experience that I don't think I'd buy this.2
If you have sensitive skin, watch out. The lemon juice burned my skin, despite the product's claim that it is gentle.2
i remember hearing great things about this product, even before i joined birch box. however when i got the product, it DID NOT smell like apples, nor did the product work. the felt the same as splashing water onto your face. i am BEYOND disappointed with this product. DO NOT RECOMMEND2
