Some mornings we’re feeling so sluggish, we’re loath to let go of our coffee even to hop in the shower. (If it gets watered down, we can just call it an Americano, right?) For those days—or anytime our morning could use an extra pick-me-up—this java-loaded scrub is just the thing. The blend of Kenyan coffee beans and nourishing oils exfoliates and hydrates, leaving skin renewed and ready for the day ahead: Think of it as skincare’s version of espresso.
This is a new line of products for me. I really like it, but not in my price range. Great smell and made my skin feel very soft.5
Even through the packaging, I could tell the scrubbing bits would be too coarse for my skin. I massaged it into my dry patches (I have plenty from winter) and it definitely exfoliated. But it didn't leave my skin smooth-it left it cut up. I needed to go over it with my normal body scrub to get that smooth feeling. I will say it didn't dry out my skin, but along with a scent that doesn't suit me I will not be buying this in the full size or exploring the line.2
This product is a heavy duty body exfoiliator. Gets the job done and I felt polished and smoothed. The scent was not my favorite.4
I don't usually like to use scrubs on my skin as I'd rather use an exfoliating cloth, but when I do I prefer the lighter softer scents, the smell was a little too much for me1
I liked the scrub. It really worked well. It made my skin really smooth and soft. However, the fragrance was not for me. I'm really sensitive to scents and it was on the highly perfumed side in my opinion. However, as a scrub it is great!4
Do not like the smell off coffee so shocker that I didn't care for this smell but it did a great exfoliation for my skin2
The product feels luxurious, and leaves skin smooth and refreshed, but im not sure how i feel about the smell not that its bad, just different4
I've tried other ingredient-based scrubs before, never tried a coffee bean scrub. Scent wise it wasn't what I was expecting, but it wasn't bad... kind of like a musk scent. It did a nice job of exfoliating without making my skin feel dry or irritated. As far as scrubs go, I'm just as happy with my much less expensive brand.4
My skin still feels very soft and smooth. Very effective. I thought the scent was too light for me. I would have liked a stronger scent that lasted more than half and hour. Also, the sample size was very small so I could only try it once.4
If I had to choose between the nyakio face scrub and body scrub, body wins hands down. The coffee grounds are bigger in the body scrub, the "scrub" therefore more effective. The scent is really delicate and lovely -- don't be fooled, it smells nothing like a cup of coffee.4
