We don’t usually look to snakes for beauty inspiration, but we could learn a thing or two from them. They regularly slough off old, dead skin to reveal the good stuff underneath—and we should be doing the same. This gentle exfoliating wash from beauty mainstay Liz Earle gets the job done beautifully without scratching or irritating. We always knew there was glowing skin under there—we just had to exfoliate to find it.
The scrub is very gentle and moisturizing, which is a plus for winter. But, overall, it's not my favorite scrub. I prefer more scrubbing from the beads. The beads in this wash as soft and clingy when you try to wash off.3
This is the same consistency as the facial cleanser but it has wonderful microbeads. I use it just as I do the cleanser--rub it onto a dry face in a circular motion then scrub gently with the muslin cloth that is damp and hot. Rinse. Leaves face feeling soft and clean. Love it!4
After trying the polish, toner, and moisturizer, I just knew that I had to have this as well. Very satisfied with this purchase. Just the right amount of little scrubby sand stuff to get my face a good scrubbing without ripping my skin off.4
I am a Liz Earle loyalist. I really enjoy these products. High quality and very reasonably priced. I use the Hot Cloth Cleanser, Skin Tonic and Combination Moisturizer everyday. When I saw this new exfoliator product, I was very excited to try it. I can say, I was not disappointed. This is a very effective and gentle product. After each use, I am still in awe of how soft and smooth my skin feels. I use the hot cloth to remove this cleanser and it does take a few swipes to remove all of the microbeads but you won't be able to stop touching your skin after using this! Highly recommend.5
this was not very effective for me. perhaps I if used long term the results may be different. I love anything that can enhance my body.2
I bought this after reading reviews having never tried it. I am a HUGE fan. It's gentle enough for my dry skin and really gets the dry patches off. I get sebaceous cysts with annoying dry skin around them and this worked nicely to get rid of the dry skin. It smells nice and you get a lot of product for the price. The exfoliating beads or whatever they are fine so you do need to be careful around your eyes. I wear contacts and just make sure to not get it near my eyes/ lashes. Your skin does look radiant after a few uses.5
I had a hard time liking this. I use the liz Earle cleanse and polish and love thatvso I wanted to give this a try. It felt more like it sat on top of my skin rather than exfoliate. It also us hard to rinse off after1
This stuff is great, it makes my skin so clean and smooth, but it isn't harsh. It also tingles like the cleanser. Would definitely recommend.5
I love this product! It always leaves my face feeling super clean but also moisturized. I'm a fan of the hot cloth cleanser as well, but I actually think this facewash is more moisturizing, and I always lose the cloths. The only downside is the exfoliating beads are so tiny that they tend to get caught in my eyelashes.4
I didn't realize that this had microbeads in it. I've been reading a lot about how harmful they are to fish who ingest them thinking they are food. They don't break down. I wish that I had known before purchasing.
As far as the exfoliator working--it works as advertised. It is not irritating, but it is smoothing.
