Like the spork, this lip tint defies categorization. Inside the slender tube, you’ll find a creamy formula that combines organic essential oils with skin-safe minerals. It’s more pigmented than a balm but less saturated than a lipstick, which means it transcends occasion for anytime wear. And if you’re looking to satisfy your sweet tooth, this’ll do the trick—the tints have an indulgent chocolate and vanilla scent.
I've used Alima products in the past and have loved them, so I was really excited to purchase this (even though it wasn't a product I had sampled). Plus I love birchbox and trust their product judgement wholeheartedly.
The texture is a little gritty, which I can deal with, and the color (mango) isn't super flattering, but I'd still probably use it if it weren't for the smell. After applying, I instantly wiped it off assuming that the product was expired. The scent is putrid (it's the chocolate one). I LOVE chocolate and am not picky about flavors, so I'm not sure what the issue is. I checked the date, and it's not expired, so I'm almost wondering if (since it's a natural product) it could spent too much time outside in the heat. Who knows. Either way, I don't recommend it! I'd return it if it I hadn't thrown away the original packing slip.
I did not like the texture of this product - it feels like I'm putting sand paper on my lips! Until they make it creamier I will not be reordering!1
I love using tints. They stay on and there's no need to reapply every ten minutes like some of the other lip sticks. This product has worked great and I really like the color4
Smells like chocolate! I kept expecting to taste chocolate because of the smell, but it doesn't taste like anything. Smooth to apply and feels moisturizing. The Rhubarb tint adds a little bit of color, close to a nude. The color is light enough that I can barely tell that I'm wearing a lipstick.5
Its ok, I thought it would glide on smoothly, but actually, its really flaky even after I apply lip balm, so I don't use it often, it has a weird smell to it, like old candle wax.3
I ordered the Alima Pure Lip Tints in Lotus. I have to say the color is great, very smooth and moisturizing with a great feel on your lips. The color really does last a long time without drying out, there are all kinds of natural oils and ingredients in this lip tint. That may be where the problem lies for me. I really don't like the flavor when you first apply it. It has a sort of nutty smell and taste that is not what I expected. It doesn't last too long, so I am sure I will still wear this lip tint. I am sure some people will probably love the taste, but not me.4
I love this lipcolor. It is very moisturizing and the rhubard color adds some polish to a natural look. I never thought this neutral color would worlfor me but now this is my favorite shade. It is subtle and gorgeous. Did I say it is really moisirizing too, it's my favorite lipstick5
I purchased this lip tint in Rhubarb & its a very nice addition to my balms I love that it has a hint of tint, since theres times when I just need hydration but want to look a bit cute too without having to get my whole make-up bag out...I can just keep it in my pocket for touchups or just to have a nice natural look...its definitely worth the price...I would buy it again & maybe try other colors to add some variety.5
I love lip balms and when they have a bit of tint to them, I like them even better. This brand fills the bill for me, but I need to keep reapplying .... wish it was longer-lasting.4
I got the lotus this time, though I've purchased Alima Pure lip tints before and enjoyed them very much. I wish there was a better description of each color here for these, as I wasn't expecting my lotus to be as shimmery as it was. I still really enjoyed it and will probably purchase more in the future. These are barely noticeable to you when they're on, but give great long lasting color. It does come off on things, so you have to be careful, but definitely worth it. Plus they smell divine.5
