Every curly-haired lady resorts to her own bag of tricks for whipping her strands into shape. This product is one of our favorites. Originally designed to help hair transition from relaxed to natural, this defrizzing formula has magical softening and smoothing effects on all types of curls, from loose waves to bobbing spirals. Wherever you fall on the spectrum from curly to straight, your hair just got a lot more manageable.
This did not really do anything for me...I still required my normal gell for styling. I own the curl keeper that smells like laundry soap and I use it for a re-styler and really like it....this would just be used the same way for me, but I don't need it also.3
Although Miss Jessie's products work well I am not a fan of the scents, or the film I feel like is left on my curls.3
The product worked, but seemed to heavy for my fine hair.4
This is a great product! It isn't the most compatible for my hair type but it still is a great conditioner and works wonders.5
Darn - I was really excited to get this product in my April box. However, it is just too heavy for my really fine, curly hair and my hair just looked heavy/almost greasy after blow-drying it. These packages are also hard to receive as a sample. Once I cut the top open the open container just sits upright on my bathroom counter until I use it up. Wish it came in some sort of bottle with a lid (though I know that costs more).1
I have curly, thick, very frizzy hair. I actually thought this stuff was alright compared to so many of the other things I've tried. (I usually use Deva Curl, the lotion, not the gels) It wasn't too thick or sticky, it really didn't weigh my hair down, and seemed to last a bit longer than most other products. This one was a soft hold, so my hair wasn't crunchy. I think it's hard to find a product that keeps the curl, without all the crunchiness and/or frizz... I also was confused as to whether this was for ethnic hair with the whole "transition" from relax to normal, but I liked it either way. However after reading all the reviews and on some other products, I think I'm going to purchase Miss Jessie Quick Curls and see how that one works. Maybe combine them together? Who knows, maybe I'll find a concoction that works!4
This product is great for curly frizzy hair, don't use a lot, but it will keep frizz down on hot days and not leave your hair looking greasy like some other products!4
I have fine, wavy-to-curly hair and this cream was too heavy for me. It seemed to weigh my hair down, and made my hair greasier than normal. The cream did smell good, and seemed like it would help add some moisture to dry curls, but I think I'll stick to my lighter oil for moisture and frizz control.1
This product appeared to be a god-send when it arrived, because I have enough hair to cover all of the bald headed persons of a small European country, AND it's only shoulder length. Ouch, I know. Without some serious(ly expensive) straighteners and blow dryers, I look like I stuck my finger in a light socket. And then teased it. Needless to say, this was not the right product for my mane. My hair was still pretty large and frizzy when left curly, so I'm thinking it's just a losing battle...2
As a woman with curly hair, I always have to use moose and a hair dryer to avoid frizz. I was excited to try this out. The product did cause my hair to take longer to dry, and felt rather sticky. Over time however once my hair dried completely the stickiness went away and I was left with beautiful soft curls. Wonderful product!4
