After we color our hair, we worry about washing our new hue into oblivion. To avoid that brassy, faded, too-long-since-the-salon look, we can now prep our strands before we shampoo with this lightweight pre-wash primer. The oil-based formula seals the hair shaft, so water can't penetrate into strands and fade color. A few pumps of the sulfate-free treatment will leave you protected—while nourishing strands to prevent breakage.
If I could give zero stars I would. This has to be the absolute worst hair product I have EVER used. Why would I want to repel water before washing my hair? I used as directed in conjunction with the shampoo and conditioner that came in the three-pack of foils. After it dried my hair was a stiff and greasy/oily mess. Usually you can't tell if a product works for you from a tiny foil packet, but I know with 100% certainty I would NEVER use this again and wouldn't recommend it for anyone. Major FAIL.1
I can't imagine who reviewed this at Birchbox and thought others would love it. Putting this grease on my hair (NOT my roots) because I shampooed was weird. Why do I want to repelled water when I need to wash my hair? Well, it repelled the shampoo as my hair didn't suds up at all. My hair was terribly greasy the rest of the day. Terrible product. Got to a salon to get better color, do not use this.1
I loved the concept of this product but since my hair is already oily to begin with it did more harm than good3
the primer was ok. very oily but ok. the shampoo smells great but did not get sudsy and make my hair feel dry and stiff. conditioner smells great but it did not feel like it conditioned my hair and my hair was more tangly than ever, even cheap conditioners worked better1
I used this once and I think it worked as intended as my hair was really soft, smooth and shiny. However, it also made my hair INCREDIBLY flat, which is difficult to do to my very very thick hair. I had never considered using a primer for my hair before, and I don't think I'll try it again.2
Before I received this product, I had never really heard of such a product before. I think it's really interesting, and I like that it's targeted toward brassiness among other things. I'm blonde, so i'm always looking for something to help combat the brassiness. This seemed to help!4
Adds amazing shine to hair and makes it feel unbelievably healthy5
I didn't really get this. I'm not sure if it worked or not but I certainly didn't see a difference in my hair from using this product.2
I feel like Nexus Color Assure is one of those products that you don't really need. Honestly, it didn't feel like it made much of a difference if I used this producto or not. I did enjoy the fragrance.3
The idea is better than the product. I used the primer w/the shampoo and conditioner and saw no reason results. The primer actually worked better with my other shampoo.2
