These double-sided sticky hem strips help us create wardrobe magic. Whether we’re trying to shorten lengthy jeans or turn a floor-sweeping skirt into a calf-grazer, these strips bond seamlessly with fabric to make temporary hems that stay in place all day. Each pack comes with 18 strips, enough for several uses.
In fact, I've only used it lessen the gaping on blouses. I'm sure it would work well on slacks or a skirt but I think it needs to be more heavy-duty to work on jeans/denim.5
A great way to temporarily fix and shorten your jeans if you are on the shorter side (like me) and don't have time to take your new jeans to the tailor. Nothing is more annoying than buying new jeans, being excited to wear them the next day, and then having to wait to wear them because they need to be tailored to your height. Temporary hem tape fixed that problem.5
These strips are great but they don't hold up for the day if the material isn't an easy cotton or something similar. I tried them with a pair of thin cotton and wool flannel pants, very thin, but it was like there was too much lint or something for the tape to hold the day. No problems on other pants.4
my new expensive dress pants for work were dragging on the ground, and knowing me it was only a matter of time before i got a whole into them, i remembered i had some of this laying around and bam, easy fix until i can get them hemmed4
These work perfect for pants when you want to wear flats, but comes off quickly and easily if you want to switch to heels.2
I thought that this product could help me raise the hems on skirts/dresses that were too long. However, it was tough to do that because it required so many strips to go all around the hem. Also, it didn't look totally even and the gaps between the strips were visible and parts of the hem would fall down. I think this product would be better for use if you had something that was already hemmed but fell out in one place, as a temporary spot repair. However, for that use you could just use regular fashion tape.2
I thought I would have to constantly be carrying around safety pins to keep my pants from dragging on the floor until a friend recommended these to me. I wasn't sure they would work for me and truthfully I messed up the first time I tried to put them on my pant leg. It was my fault and not the product's defect. Now I keep them in my purse and they have saved me from looking homeless many a time. I ripped a seam in my favorite slacks before work and thank goodness I had these as a backup! They held up in the wash, too!5
I'm short, so its hard to find pants that I can wear with both flats and heels. The strips are easy to use and last a while. I plan on purchasing more, great for trips5
Neat little product. I have pants that are to long for flats but just right for heels... this tape fixes it!!! If I ware flats for the day just put on of these suckers on and your good to go!!4
I recently had a pair of casual sweat pants that I wanted to wear out for the day running errands, but they were too long. I used the tape and it worked like a charm!5
