Niche perfumerie Arquiste believes that scents can serve as a form of time travel: each of their debut fragrances is meant to evoke a specific moment in history. A bright blend of citrus and other fruity notes, L’Etrog captures the aromas of a family harvest celebration in medieval Calabria, Italy. Developed by famed fragrance designers Rodrigo Flores-Roux and Yann Vasnier together with Arquiste founder Carlos Huber, it’s sure to please even the most discerning noses. And though the scent takes it cues straight from the history books, we love how the luxe glass bottle feels distinctly modern.
I opened my sample of this, and immediately I was reminded of my grandma. This smells exactly like something she would wear. But as for me, I will stick to less sophisticated purfumes2
Perfume is entirely subjective... this fragrance is just not for me. I know I cannot accurately describe the scent exactly, but it came across to me as 'old lady ish'. And I am not exactly a teenager or anything. It genuinely reminded me of a scent my grandmother wore (just much fancier). It was clear to me, however, that this is one of the expensive fragrances that cheap fragances and body mists try to imitate (and do so poorly). So, if you've ever liked a 'white musk' body spray, etc., there's a chance you may like this.2
A lovely delicate scent, but for this price point, I would hope that it stayed on my wrist longer that a few hours.2
To me, perfume is a very personal choice. And this scent is just not for me.2
The scent was very nice, but it was a little too mature for me. It reminded me of my mom, which is not a bad thing, it's just not the sent I would go for. It was very flowery where I prefer something a little more sporty or fruity.2
This was a very feminine scent, but it lasted all day. This shows that it is definitely a quality product, but just not for me.3
it has a feminine smell to it with floral undertones. it's not my style at all.
I wore this cologne out to dinner with some friends s few nights ago and although it smelled good, I did not receive any compliments as I normally do. Just ok.3
I own more than my fair share of colognes. I used to buy solely based on brand. Now I purchase on scent and I don't think I would buy this scent.3
I love the scent, which is reminiscent of some women's cologne I appreciate but this has a distinct male quality. People always comment when I wear it.3
