Niche perfumerie Arquiste believes that scents can serve as a form of time travel: each of their debut fragrances is meant to evoke a specific moment in history. A bright blend of citrus and other fruity notes, L’Etrog captures the aromas of a family harvest celebration in medieval Calabria, Italy. Developed by famed fragrance designers Rodrigo Flores-Roux and Yann Vasnier together with Arquiste founder Carlos Huber, it’s sure to please even the most discerning noses. And though the scent takes it cues straight from the history books, we love how the luxe glass bottle feels distinctly modern.
Fresh citrus smell that lasts a long time. Subtle but long wearing4
Not sure if this is the same sample I got. Mine says Modern Muse but when I searched it this came up. Its by Estee Lauder. Anyway, this perfume has a great classic smell. Like a Chanel or something. I really enjoyed it.4
At first I didn't like this perfume I thought it was way too strong. But after a little while I actually liked the scent a lot. It lasts for many hours I really love that you don't have to keep reapplying. Now I just have to save up some money to buy a bottle since I used all of my birchbox sample.4
I am thrilled I was able to sample such a high end perfume! I am a sucker for perfumes! This is very nice for a date night or night on the town. Very grown up scent, just way out of my price range!!4
One of my favorite things to get in my Birchbox is perfume samples. They are perfect for carrying in your purse or make-up bag for a trip. No need to lug around your full size perfumes.4
This is the ONLY perfume sample I have gotten in birchbox that I liked, and it's beyond like, it's absolutely love, however it's WAAAAAAAAY too expensive, there is no way I can afford to buy it, which breaks my heart.... it'd be beyond 5 stars if it was affordable. If I ever win the lottery..........4
I think this is a great scent-I was in the market for a new fragrance for myself and after trying it out over a few days I think this might be the winner. It has a nice balance-I don't like fragrances that are too sweet. It's also something different that not everyone you know will own-well, not yet at least!4
Nice smelling perfume, sort of like what I remember my mom smelling like in the 80's. Not my cup of tea, but good for a fancy date night.4
The description says it best: "Mediterranean cabin built out of palm leaves and foraged branches". It is light and floral but at the same time has a woodsy, campfire scent to it. I am surprised every time I wear it.4
I will definately remember this fragrance! I am very picky and I found this scent very unique and pleasant.4
