Niche perfumerie Arquiste believes that scents can serve as a form of time travel: each of their debut fragrances is meant to evoke a specific moment in history. A bright blend of citrus and other fruity notes, L’Etrog captures the aromas of a family harvest celebration in medieval Calabria, Italy. Developed by famed fragrance designers Rodrigo Flores-Roux and Yann Vasnier together with Arquiste founder Carlos Huber, it’s sure to please even the most discerning noses. And though the scent takes it cues straight from the history books, we love how the luxe glass bottle feels distinctly modern.
Surprisingly, nice scent. Smelled the same on as in the bottle, which rarely happens for me.4
This perfume smells really good...you can tell its a higher quality product.4
I really like this cologne, great product! I'll definitely keep this in mind when buying cologne!5
I alternate between three fragrances now, and this in one of them. I've been wearing it about 3 years, having first found it in a Barney's New York. It smells clean and crisp, which is what I tend to go for. I'll use it for years to come. One spritz is all you need, so it lasts a long time too.5
This is the only perfume I use now. Scent is fabulous but not obnoxious. A little pricey but definitely worth it.5
I purchased this fragrance on a whim; you girls know, it was a low moment that I needed to feel good...so...and you know what, it was a most excellent choice...soft,subtle, yet so me!5
This is hands down the best perfume in the universe. It's hard to review perfume in a way that would be helpful to other people- but I love this!5
For context: I've been wearing this long enough to get to the heart but not the entire drydown. I love citrus scents and was totally willing to use my 20 percent discount to pick this up, because there were no retailers where I could smell it live before buying. I'm glad I did, although it reminds me distinctly of Eau Sauvage, but minus the disco -- and that's probably reason enough to wear it, since I always wish Eau Sauvage smelled less like the seventies. The chypre qualities of this fragrance make me think of it as a masculine, and I have no problem wearing them, but it would be ten times better on my husband.5
I got this in one of my first birchboxes and wanted it ever since. I finally took the plunge and I'm so happy with it! Definitely recommend.5
This is probably my favorite Birchbox sample of all time - I saved up to buy a bottle, which I am certain will last for ages.
At first, I didn't really care for it. I thought it was too strong in the bottle, a bit mature for my taste. But I put it on one day and was converted. Once on it mellows, and smells like an afternoon out of a history book. A unique scent - but be careful, a little goes a long way. Definitely a high quality product.
