This lip kit from A-list makeup artist Mally Roncal (whose clients include Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lopez, and Queen Bey) has everything we need to create a red carpet-worthy pout at home. Gone is that too-dark lip pencil we rocked in the 90’s: The Evercolor Shaping Lip Pencil creates a soft line that makes lips look fuller (and never gives them harsh edges). The 7-in-1 Lip Magnifier lip crayon locks in color while hydrating, priming, and adding gloss. We may not actually be heading to an awards show, but this eye-catching bold lip is sure to earn some accolades.
I want to love this product. It feels beautiful, has a lovely application, and the color is deeply pigmented. And, yet... Oh, the color! (I purchased Frisky Fuchsia.) It is very, very bright. I've tried it in many ways: daytime, nighttime, rubbed in like a lip stain, deeply applied and matte, with/without different lip pencils... the list goes on! I just can't get the hang of this color!
Love the product, can't figure out the color.
I love this set! The color of pink is very complimentary, and while the liner goes on a bit chalky/hard, the lip crayon is SUPER moisturizing and is nice and glossy. I love this!4
The lip pencil and stick were perfectly paired, so for an intense look, they were great together. They were much too much for me. I am fair completed, and these would have worked better for someone with more color in both skin and eyes. They are best for a night time glamor look...3
I bought this after trying my first Mally lip pencil and will agree that she rocks the red carpet with her amazing products and this is just another one of them. I have started to lose my lipstick when I put especially the gloss on without a lip pencil to outline the lip so that the little creases from smiling for sixty years don't show. I will attest that this works, so if you haven't tried it you're losing out. Plus buy the set of lip pencils because you will want each and EVERY color that Mally makes.5
I saw all the reviews complaining about the orangey hue of the Sexy Siren, but I ignored them. Why? Because I really was looking for an orange-red lipstick! This color isn't that. It isn't "orangey" either. It's pretty much just orange. Kind of like the color of a nectarine, really. Aside from that, I didn't like the texture. Basically, this product is going back because I will never use it.2
I bought the Frisky Fuchsia set and was astounded by how long the color lasted. It was vibrant without being overwhelming, and it stayed put through lunch until I took it off after work. I loved the set so much that I went back and bought the the Sexy Siren set too. I knocked off one star because the color of Sexy Siren was orange, not red as described/pictured. I will definitely buy more Mally products; the quality is supreme.4
This is a pretty shade of pink, however, the pigment in this is not very dark or opaque. This goes on very light and looks very 80's/Soft Shell Pink without the Frost. If you are looking for a bold lip, this is not a great choice.2
The low rating is based primarily on the color and not on the quality of the lipstick or liner.
I ordered the sexy siren thinking that it was going to be like it looks the picture, more of red, but its not, its orange... bright orange. I applied it anyway in hopes that it might not be that bright once it went on, and no luck.
The product itself however, applies well and feels smooth and and the liner goes on easily.
