Dirt sources its ingredients straight from the earth, so it’s no surprise that their signature body scrub is wholesome and downright appetizing. It polishes your skin while replenishing lost moisture with a blend of fine salt particles, fruit extracts, and essential oils. Both varieties smell sweet and pack plenty of exfoliating power—lemon leaf has a slightly coarse texture and is laced with raspberry seeds.
The lemon oil was well noted when I opened the lid to smell it, but it was a scent that wouldn't overpower my want to use the product. I love that raspberry seeds are visible in the product, I think it adds a nice touch to other products that haven't done anything like it. Most scrubs leave me feeling a bit dry after use, but this one didn't and I was surprise at first because of how many I tried. I am very pleased with this product and look forward to buying it soon.5
When I first opened this sample I was really excited, as I definitely need a good exfoliating scrub for summer. I opened the container and liked both the texture and smell-- at first.
Once I used the product, however, I wasn't as thrilled. The pieces of salt and raspberry seed are too big, and so don't really stay in one place to scrub (they disperse too easily, instead of working into the skin). And after the first whiff, the smell started to remind me of lemon-scented wood cleaning products. Not particularly attractive. And lastly, rather than leaving my skin feeling smooth, it left it feeling really greasy and unpleasant. I had to actually use soap and water to wash it off, and it still felt a little icky.
Overall, it was okay, but not worth $45 for the full size product.
i love how amazing this scrub smells, so fresh and enticing. the overall texture was good, but i was hopeful the beads size would be a bit smaller. that would have made it easier to rub into my body. as it is, it wasn't easy to move smoothly over my skin. that being said, it did make my skin feel amazing. that and it didn't make my whole bathtub a slick mess afterwards, which was great :)4
This smells SO good and leaves your skin really soft. It exfoliates, oils, and softens. I love it and will buy! i just wish the sample was bigger :)5
I love this scrub. My skin is soft and smells good even hours later.5
I love this product! It smells delicious, exactly like lemon sorbet, and the texture was really substantial so I felt like it exfoliated really well. I was nervous about the product after I rinsed off in the shower because my skin felt a little greasy, but afterwards I was pleased to find that my skin just felt nice and smooth and moisturized. This is definitely one of the better scrubs I have used!5
Loved this product! I have very rough feet from running and DIRT has soften my feet while getting rid of dry skin. The product also smells great! (added bonus!) Now I can wear sandals without worry about my dry skin! Planning to purchase this product!5
I absolutely love this body scrub! This is by far the most beauty-routine-changing-product that I've received in a monthly Birchbox. It has an amazing lemon smell, and the raspberry seeds and salt do an excellent exfoliating job. After a shower, my skin is super soft! Plus, the natural ingredients make this body scrub even more lovable. Super-soft-chemicl-free-skin? I'll take it!!!5
Yummy scrub! But don't eat it! It has an energizing citrus smell. The essential oils and exfoliating ingredients left my skin soft, smooth, and smelling like grandma's freshly squeezed lemonade.5
I really like the dirt. luxe salt scrub in lemon leaf. It was a great exfoliator/scrub. After using it my legs felt clean and refreshed...no residue here. However, I say legs because I was only able to use it on my legs. The sample jar I received was a little less than half full. I would not buy a product based on one use because I want to be sure the product works well for me. I like the smell...if you do not like lemon then this will probably not appeal to you.4
