For natural, unfussy waves, nothing beats a dip in the ocean. But short of moving to the Caribbean, theres no way to recreate that look at a moments notice—or so we thought. This two-in-one spray adds texture and shine to our hair, allowing us to create a piecey, tousled look minus the stiffening effects of salt water. Oribe's special Beach Wave Complex uses hydrolyzed wheat protein, vitamin B, copolymers, and amber extracts to pump up each hair shaft and add wavy texture. Meanwhile, a mix of moisturizers, including safflower seed oil and marigold extract, heals dry ends, and galanga root extracts contribute a natural dose of UV protection. It's suitable for all hair types, from superfine to ultrathick, and also safe for color-treated or processed strands.
This product did nothing for me. It wasn't personalized at all to my beauty profile and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, especially if you have curly hair like me.1
Didnt give me beachy waves. My hair looked straw like and dry.1
This product Didn't do enough to keep my waves. I used it when my hair was still wet, but hair came out very frizzy.1
I feel like the only hair products I get in my Birchbox are suited for females that are not natural. I'm natural and I like to wear my hair out or in protective styles. I've been struggling with whether or not I want to keep my subscription because I feel like even with my profile, Birchbox does a horrible job at choosing hair products that can suit an array of people.1
I received this is my very first Birchbox! I had high hopes after the great reviews, but this just didn't work for me. The first time I used what I thought was a good amount and it didn't give that beach-inspired look it claims to. Gave it a second try using more, and again wasn't impressed. It didn't add any noticeable shine and acted more like a soft hold hairspray than anything else. I'll keep this sample on hand for that, but stick with Not Your Mother's products to get a true, separated, beach wave look.1
I did not like this product. It didn't give me a beach wave at all. I tried on damp hair and on dry hair and neither worked.1
I really wanted to love this. The directions on the can say that you can use it on dry hair. I tried this and it really didn't do anything at all. I sprayed a little more and fluffed my hair a bit. Still nothing. I added a little more and then my hair looked greasy. No thank you. I have pretty thick hair that ks naturally curly, so this product probably just isn't for me.1
These types of products don't work on my hair. I have very straight hair & it's difficult to achieve waves with a hot tool much less a piddly little spray.1
I've never tried a wave spray before so I chose this as one of my samples for August. I tried it out and it left my hair looking wet and it felt disgustingly sticky. I would not recommend this product to anyone.1
This doesn't really fit my hair category but I'm sure it's great for someone else1
