For natural, unfussy waves, nothing beats a dip in the ocean. But short of moving to the Caribbean, theres no way to recreate that look at a moments notice—or so we thought. This two-in-one spray adds texture and shine to our hair, allowing us to create a piecey, tousled look minus the stiffening effects of salt water. Oribe's special Beach Wave Complex uses hydrolyzed wheat protein, vitamin B, copolymers, and amber extracts to pump up each hair shaft and add wavy texture. Meanwhile, a mix of moisturizers, including safflower seed oil and marigold extract, heals dry ends, and galanga root extracts contribute a natural dose of UV protection. It's suitable for all hair types, from superfine to ultrathick, and also safe for color-treated or processed strands.
I was disappointed with this product. I used this on just washed hair and after using this my hair felt like it was dirty and needing washing. The spray made my hair feel stiff. II don't think I would ever purchase this product. I don't recommend this product, but I'm not looking for beach waves, so that may have an effect on my opinion.1
I was excited to try this, as it seemed perfect for my hair type (thick, wavy) to give me the day at he beach look my hair does so we'll naturally (when I'm actually at the beach). Nope. My hair looked like I let it hair dry, sprayed it with hair spray, then took a nap.1
I have curly hair naturally, and this is not my favorite. It doesn't do much for my curls, it actually makes them quite fuzzy, and it makes my hair feel like straw.1
I have super straight, thick hair. I used it while my hair was damp and then again before styling. So very little difference. I will use the sample that came in my box, but, I don't think I will be purchasing this particular product1
I was expecting way more shine from this product! To be honest I saw absolutely no shine at all, actually made my hair feel like straw & super dry, couldn't wait to wash it out1
My hair is very aleady very textured and fizzy. The last thing I need is too use a product that adds even more texture to my hair. When I go to the beach I do not get touseled pretty waves. I come back with stiff/dry and frizzy/puffy hair. And that is what this product did to my hair. It's probable best for thin, already limp and straight hair.1
I'm honestly not sure what the purpose of this stuff is. I've got short, fine hair but decided to give it a try. It just made my hair look heavy and dirty but didn't really add much in the way of body. It also had a powdery scent that I didn't like. I used it before going out to dinner and spent most of the dinner sniffing and thinking, "Is that my hair? I hope nobody else can smell that."1
I could not even try this product because the scent was so intense that I could not risk it being in my hair.1
I'm sure it's great but hair spray isn't for me... pretty dubious about products that claim to give you beach hair, they never seem to deliver. Maybe will try this again next summer1
Wish I could have a use for this. My hair is too straight for this wave spray to do anything it doesn't help my limp hair get any waves lol. Giving to my sister1
