For natural, unfussy waves, nothing beats a dip in the ocean. But short of moving to the Caribbean, theres no way to recreate that look at a moments notice—or so we thought. This two-in-one spray adds texture and shine to our hair, allowing us to create a piecey, tousled look minus the stiffening effects of salt water. Oribe's special Beach Wave Complex uses hydrolyzed wheat protein, vitamin B, copolymers, and amber extracts to pump up each hair shaft and add wavy texture. Meanwhile, a mix of moisturizers, including safflower seed oil and marigold extract, heals dry ends, and galanga root extracts contribute a natural dose of UV protection. It's suitable for all hair types, from superfine to ultrathick, and also safe for color-treated or processed strands.
After having tried another product that is supposed to do the same thing as this, I was very disappointed. According to reviews this was supposed to be better. It was not. Returned for a refund.1
I have fairly wavy hair and live in a humid climate, and this product was not at all right for me. It made my hair look greasy in sections and didn't help with my frizz AT ALL. It gave no texture or definition. I ended up returning the product...thank goodness for Birchbox's awesome return policy!1
I am a huge fan of the Oribe dry texturizing spray, so I thought I would give this a try. I hate it. It makes my hair super sticky and doesn't really add any waves. It's basically just bad hair spray. I won't be buying this again, and I hate that I wasted so much money on it...1
I was really excited to try this product but it's a waste of money. I have thick wavy hair and wanted loose wavy curls from the ocean. I applied when wet and woke up to a frizzy mess that left my hair feeling dry and sticky.2
I purchased this for when I was on vaction hoping to save some time on doing my hair, but sadly this did not work for my thick hair. Tended to just make it feel heavy and the texture it left on my hair felt weird. The smell was a little strange also. I am sure it is a great product just is not meant for my thicker hair.2
This spray did the job and actually had a good scent. However, I still do not feel like it was worth the price I paid for it.2
I purchased this product and another one from this line, hoping to have sexy, textured waves, like I just came from the beach; instead, I got thick, stiff hair, that while smelled nice, did not look attractive. Hair was too sticky and hard to do ANYTHING with, even smoothing out with my hand. I am confused on how it works as a dry shampoo as well. Quite frankly, I'd rather ditch this product (I'd return it if I still had the packaging)!2
This product adds shine but made my fine hair stringy. It smells great and has UV protection so I kept it for days when I'm at the pool.2
This product doesn't do anything for me except smell nice. And if I overdo it, it makes my hair sticky and dull looking. Stick to a regular salt spray, it's cheaper and more effective!2
I LOVE my Oribe Dry Texturizing spray so I bought this product hoping for the same magic. While the product smells great it leaves my hair very oily and wet looking. Not just got out of the ocean/pool with a fabulous wet hair look...more like I haven't washed my hair in a week oily look. Maybe my hair texture isn't ideal for this product to work, but I wouldn't buy it again.2
