For natural, unfussy waves, nothing beats a dip in the ocean. But short of moving to the Caribbean, theres no way to recreate that look at a moments notice—or so we thought. This two-in-one spray adds texture and shine to our hair, allowing us to create a piecey, tousled look minus the stiffening effects of salt water. Oribe's special Beach Wave Complex uses hydrolyzed wheat protein, vitamin B, copolymers, and amber extracts to pump up each hair shaft and add wavy texture. Meanwhile, a mix of moisturizers, including safflower seed oil and marigold extract, heals dry ends, and galanga root extracts contribute a natural dose of UV protection. It's suitable for all hair types, from superfine to ultrathick, and also safe for color-treated or processed strands.
This spray did the job and actually had a good scent. However, I still do not feel like it was worth the price I paid for it.2
Bought this to add some wave and bounce to my hair. It smells like a day at the beach. It adds volume without weighing hair done. The price is high, but the benefit is defintely worth it.5
You seriously can't go wrong with Oribe products. This makes my waves look more Giselle than any other beach spray I've tried. Love it.5
This product smells fabulous. My hair is fine with a bit of a wave if it air dries. It left my hair shiney, not greasy and smelling great. I was looking for a little more wave and texture. I will not purchase this product again.3
This stuff leaves your hair shiny and smelling great. It doensn't leave it greasy or clumped. Great brand and smell is amazing.5
I love the smell and I hate washing my hair so this gives me some texture and style to keep my hair looking great between washes. Don't get it on the roots...keep to the ends to avoid the greasy texture.4
I originally purchased a smaller bottle of this from a boutique in my town. Because I had some BB points, I decided to purchase the full-size on Birchbox. I have to say, my number one reason for purchasing is the smell--it's heavenly! I have fine, semi-wavy hair (if I let it air-dry), and I like to use this product along with a curling wand to enhance waves. I have tried using it without curling my hair as well, and it just gets sort of stringy and crunchy. I allow my hair to air dry a bit, add some spray, then usually sleep on it in a top-knot. Then, the next day, I use more of the spray as a texturizer along with the curling wand.4
Smells great, makes hair super shiny, but not crunchy. It doesn't make hair look greasy. It separates and texturizes just as promised. Oribe is quickly becoming my go-to brand!5
This product adds shine but made my fine hair stringy. It smells great and has UV protection so I kept it for days when I'm at the pool.2
I've tried a LOT of texturizing products and once I landed on this I never went back. The smell is great, not heavy coconut like other products. I use this when I curl my hair with a wand, then spray this in and scrunch my curls. This doesn't leave your hair feeling gritty like some texture products do, it pieces my hair, and it helps hold my curls. You WON'T regret this! I have the large size AND purse size for travel, but this keeps my beach waves for a long time. No reapplying.5
