For natural, unfussy waves, nothing beats a dip in the ocean. But short of moving to the Caribbean, theres no way to recreate that look at a moments notice—or so we thought. This two-in-one spray adds texture and shine to our hair, allowing us to create a piecey, tousled look minus the stiffening effects of salt water. Oribe's special Beach Wave Complex uses hydrolyzed wheat protein, vitamin B, copolymers, and amber extracts to pump up each hair shaft and add wavy texture. Meanwhile, a mix of moisturizers, including safflower seed oil and marigold extract, heals dry ends, and galanga root extracts contribute a natural dose of UV protection. It's suitable for all hair types, from superfine to ultrathick, and also safe for color-treated or processed strands.
This is better than some other sea salt sprays that I have tried but I don't love it. My hair is on the dry side and the salt sprays don't seem to make my hair look good.4
It didn't exactly work with my hair. I have really thick hair and it didn't exactly make it look like beach waves as much as a disaster. It might work better for other hair types2
As some with both curly and rather fine hair, it can be difficult finding products to make my curls look nice, without weighing everything down, or making my hair greasy and gross. This product feels really light and left my hair still feeling soft and bouncy.5
I tried this product and didn't really do much. Doesn't smell pleasant and didn't feel as if it worked.3
I couldn't be more in love with this beach wave spray.
my hair is relatively boring and when I used this, it just gave me life. Volume and beautiful waves, not to mention all the compliments I received on my hair. Absolutely in love.
I loved the smell so much! Even my sister came to investigate the amazing smell. But later in the day I didn't like how stiff and greasy it made my hair feel. I ended up throwing my hair up in a ponytail.3
I have super curly hair, so any product that promises "perfect waves" has very little effect on me. however, I did think it added some shine to my hair and left it very manageable3
I've used on both dry and wet hair and it's much more effective when it's on dry hair. I've tried using on my roots but it creates a little bit of stickiness and happiness, so I've had better luck when just applying about halfway down and fluffing a little.4
I have curly hair to begin with, so a lot of the "beach waves" products don't do anything for me but give a little extra hold. Some leave me with a sticky/hard feeling, but this does leave your hair soft with movement. If you're desiring something with a lot more hold, I'd say this product won't hold up that well.3
I liked this product! Great smell and a nice, midday hair refresher4
