We’re adamant about wearing sunscreen, but sometimes we find it a bit difficult to slather on the stuff when it has a greasy, heavy feel or leaves behind a not-so-attractive white film. Luckily, that’s not the case with this weightless, all-natural mineral sunscreen, which is lightly tinted to enhance skin’s radiance. On the preventative front, it effectively protects against harmful UVA and UVB rays, and, ever the multitasker, helps thwart aging, uneven skin tone, and other issues.
This is an ok sunscreen. Nothing special, I do not see why Birchbox even bother's to have it or iclude it in the box.
There are so many superiour sun products out there that mult-task as primers and moisturizers,
Will not be buying this.
The name of this product is not very pleasing, and I expected something messy to use. I was pleasantly surprised! It went on very smoothly, and didn't feel thick or tacky to the touch.4
So I will preface by saying that I should have read several of the reviews before purchasing this, because it would have saved me from making a silly mistake. I got the sample of the Natural Skin Tone version and looooved the texture and tone of the product. This is NOT (I repeat, NOT!) the same at all. As a sunscreen, it's decent, but the description was not accurate in my opinion. Certainly not lightweight (it took a significant amount of rubbing to get the product to blend in), sticky textured, and there is no tint to it that I can tell. So buyer beware: if you are hoping to snag this larger volume of product for the same price as the tinted kinds, think twice. Just buy the product you got in your Birchbox sample. :(2
I was a bit skeptical when I first squeezed the tube and a thick brown substance came out. My attitude quickly changed, however, when I felt how smoothly and evenly this product was applied. I spent 4 hours on the beach and my face didn't get red!5
I purchased this after receiving the CoTZ Face Natural Skin Tone SPF 40 sample and fell in love. When I realized that both the Natural Skin Tone and the Pure SPF were the same price, but the Pure had more volume, I chose the Pure instead. However, the Pure goes on like a mud mask, and does not have the matte finish that the Natural Skin Tone had. My face was left shiny and not with the same feeling as my sample. I will be returning.1
I am a beach girl, so I am always wearing sunscreen and I really really liked this stuff!!! :) Definitely a great product!!5
This sunscreen is awesome! For a mineral sunscreen. It protected my daughter from getting burned during an outdoor wedding. She is fair skinned, blonde hair and we all know how they can get fried easily. The only two issues I had is that it is harder to rub in. It does start to dry quickly so that is an issue. The second is that it is tinted. I didn't realize it until after my daughter had hot some on her white dress. So let it dry before you get dressed. Other then that, I love it. It's a good sized bottle and doesn't have that gross sunscreen smell.4
