From summer blockbusters to larger-than-life love stories, Hollywood knows how to go big with stunning style. These self-adhesive nail wraps, from Los Angeles-based ncLA, are no exception: Their intricate patterns and bright colors make a bold statement. But unlike the next Best Picture Nominee, your eye-catching mani will come together in minutes—just follow the simple instructions included in the kit.
These would be laughably bad if they weren't the most expensive wraps I've ever bought. In light of that, I'm not laughing. I've tried 2 different patterns so far and both times application was a nightmare. They aren't very sticky so the edges and tips poke up no matter how carefully you apply. The printing isn't saturated, looks like they were printed on a cheap printer. They also don't last, so you are basically paying for (maybe) one day's worth of iffy looking nails. Just terrible, wish I had been warned before buying 4 designs (they do have nice designs...).
I use wraps of various brands at least a few times a month and these come out looking so bad compared to every single other brand I've tried (creases, bubbles, peeling, you name it). They also tell you to peel them off (they aren't made of polish so remover isn't suggested) which damages my nails. Just an all around NO. You've been warned.
I would say that I have average size nail beds, but these were not quite wide enough for each of my fingers. They were easy to apply and looked good for a few days. The sample that I received was black and white, and they started to discolor and turn yellowish after about a week. They were easy to remove, I was able to simply peel them off (not sure how good that is for my nail beds though, lol).3
I love nail wraps and I couldn't get over how cute these were...so I got them...they lastest more than 10 days...they went with everything and they were in season...I will definately buy ALOT more!!!5
Hard to use. Silly in my age demographic. Handed them off to a student. Not a fan. I'm not sure the student liked the either.1
The colors were vibrant and the pattern interesting but I had trouble keeping them on. The edges lifted on me.
They were to narrow for half of my nails, defeating the purpose of even wearing them. Wish they were wider .2
First off, I rec'd these as a sample in my Birchbox months ago. I had tried nail wraps before and they didn't stick so I was not enthusiastic about using these. Another thing, the pattern was kind of "not my style". It was busy and didn't really match anything I would wear. '
One evening, I was going out and just plain bored, so I put them on anyway. They are extremely easy to apply! They were a little small on some nails and not stretchy as the directions implied. I had put on a coat of gold glitter nail polish underneath, so you really could not tell where the wrap didn't go completely to the edge.
I went to the party and the people that noticed my nails thought they were a polish design. One military member felt these would be great for times when she was off duty.
Overall impression: Very good product, easy to use, but could have better designs.
Pros: Easy to use
Stick to nails well
A little larger
They were really easy to apply and wore really well. They lasted over two weeks! The only thing I didn't love was the pattern. These have the potential to be a huge seller if they had better patterns that appealed to more people.4
Very easy to apply. These are for small nail beds. Personally I don't usually use them. I am also not a fan of the design.
I loved the look just they were too small for my nails. They looked funny on my nails with so much natural nail showing on both sides of the wrap. I was hoping it would at least fit my pinky finger but it didn't.2
