We never paid much attention to our hair ties before Twistband came into our lives. Now we can’t go anywhere without one (or three) of their snag-free, super soft elastics. They keep hair secure without leaving ugly creases behind, and look as good on our wrists as they do in our ponytails. These colorful collections come with twelve ties, so you’ll always have plenty of spares on hand.
My hair is thin and very straight so the twistband did not stay in my hair. My hair is fairly long too. I would not buy it.1
I really do not get why the hype. The twistband is good but after a while it loses shape and elasticity so it keeps on sliding down and it will not hold my hair together anymore :(.1
I got one of these in my Birch Box last month. There was a cute pattern on one side and a solid beige on the other. It was cute on my wrist and didn't leave mark on it, but it's primary purpose is to be a hair band. Hair bands twist, so it was impossible to keep the pretty pattern on top. Also, if you pull it tight like you tend to do when putting up your hair, the band stretches out. It started off snug on my wrist and it now hangs loosely. There is no grip on the band so it won't hold your hair up for long. My hair is loose in the matter of a few moments. Lastly, it's cheap. The ends aren't finished and fray. I don't understand why these are the "it" thing right now. They don't hold up functionally or asthetically!1
These hair bands are simply colorful elastic that you can buy from the craft store and make yourself. They are cut off the roll and do not have a finished end. They are tied at the end to achieve the band. Not good for people with thick hair. I do like the fun colors, but again, I could make these myself. Especially for the price, WAY over priced.1
seemed like a glorified strip of elastic fabric to me. didn't hold my hair up at all, and personally i didn't find it any cuter than a normal hair tie, kind of ugly rather (but i received the hot pink one so that could be why).1
I have too much hair for these hair ties. They held for like a good minute and then.. blegh. :( Not for my style of hair, medium thick, straight hair.1
I have too much hair for the twistband. There's not enough elasticity for me.1
These are way too small for thick hair. I couldn't even get it around twice. Sad because the colors were realy cute.1
Very lame product. Stretches out too quickly. Too expensive for the quality. Seems Birchbox keeps pushing these on everyone and does not offer something new. Makes you wonder if this company is owned by a relative and they are trying to help support them as often as they put them in boxes.1
I can see how this product could be cute to tie at the end of a braid, but it definitely does not do a good job of holding my hair up and the knot on it looks kind of awkward. I got a grey one so even on my wrist it didn't look cute. No other family member wanted it so I ended up tossing it out.1
