We never paid much attention to our hair ties before Twistband came into our lives. Now we can’t go anywhere without one (or three) of their snag-free, super soft elastics. They keep hair secure without leaving ugly creases behind, and look as good on our wrists as they do in our ponytails. These colorful collections come with twelve ties, so you’ll always have plenty of spares on hand.
I don't understand the appeal but maybe it will grow on me... My hair is pretty fine and slippery and this doesn't do a great job holding up a pony tail. Its fine at the end of a braid and looks ok but nothing special.1
I must admit that when I received my very first Birchbox and discovered this product within its contents, I was tempted to cancel my subscription. This is not what I would call a "product" worthy of purchase considering that I can make something similar with a better finish (stitched seam rather than loosely tied at the ends) and for far cheaper. The Twistband may not rip my hair but it did not stay in place and it is not worth the money, in my opinion.1
I was excited to try this product after seeing it around YouTube and other similar sites. I have a mass of tightly curled hair, very frizzy and wild. Hair ties are an essential part of any day for me and I loved the idea of trying something new and fun as opposed the regular black ties I have been using. I slipped this on my wrist as I ran out the door. An hour later I looked down to brush a stray hair off my arm only to discover that the ends were fraying and it was a thread I was feeling. :( Nevertheless I trimmed the edges and melted them to stop the fray and pulled my usual loose pony tail... it got stuck... After 4 minutes of wrestling with it I retrieved the band and found that the knot was coming loose and the body had twisted itself around and was no longer flat and pretty. I untied the knot, flattened it out and slipped it back on my wrist. On second use this evening I found that my pony tail sagged within 15 minutes and on inspecting the band I found it to be stretched out and twisted again. I SO wanted to love this item, but alas I do not. Definitely not for me.1
I like the idea of this product, however it looks bad in my hair. my hair is too thin, so it does not work for me...1
I've used the ouchless clear hair bands for years (with compliments from my hair dresser), and I was willing to give this product a try, but it's just lame. I could have made one of these for $0.25, plus it's kind of ugly. I don't want some gianormous knot thing hanging off my cute pony tail. Hello!1
Please stop sending me these! They are awful for heavy hair. They stay in for about 2 minutes and then fall out because they're so stretched out.1
This hair tie streched out after the first use and now is totally useless. I will say its a great concept. But, at the rate that they strech out it would be cheaper to just buy eleastic at the fabric store and make your own.1
I was so excited to try this because so many of my friends have hair ties like this from other brands. I have medium hair (not think) and after the first use, my ponytail started to slouch and sag. When I took it out of my hair, it was all stretched out! So bummed.1
After wearing this in my hair for 30 minutes my hair had a major crease just like a normal hair tie. I also wore it on my wrist prior to putting my hair up and the end started to fray.1
I already gave this product glowing reviews for because of it's attractiveness but I feel the need to come back and update my review after using this product for a month
The twistband came apart after 3-4 days of normal use. The knot slid out and the ends started to fray. I've used a lot of hair ties in my life and this one really isn't very good for the money. I got it a month ago and I think I threw it away last week. I don't think this is a quality product.
