We never paid much attention to our hair ties before Twistband came into our lives. Now we can’t go anywhere without one (or three) of their snag-free, super soft elastics. They keep hair secure without leaving ugly creases behind, and look as good on our wrists as they do in our ponytails. These colorful collections come with twelve ties, so you’ll always have plenty of spares on hand.
I've already received a twistband from Birchbox as a sample item. I do think that these are convenient and pretty accessories, but since I've already received these as part of my subscription, I really didn't need another one.2
I'm so glad I got this! I was going to buy some from a boutique this weekend, but decided against it. I will definitely be purchasing when it's back in stock.5
I still don't think I can justify this price for hair ties, but these are pretty awesome! They look cute, and don't leave as much of a dent in your hair as the cheap skinny ones do.4
I have tons of these from various stores. I absolutely love them - this was a great addition to the box, because you can never have too many!5
The Good: Like the description says, it looks a lot better than regular hair ties when you just have it on your wrist. Also, it doesn't hurt having it on your wrist or leave imprints. And though you can still kind of feel a bump where your hair was up, you can't see a crease (it might help that I have wavy hair also?)
The Bad: I hate that knot on my wrist and in my hair. It sticks out and I just think it looks weird and it gets in the way. I feel like I can make this hair tie myself so it wasn't my favorite of samples.
But, I will continue to use the hair tie and possibly consider buying it when I need new hair ties if it holds out well.
I nearly threw out the scrap piece of elastic that I found in my box, before I realized that it was supposed to be a hair tie. Really? People will buy anything if you put a fancy name on it, I suppose. This seemed like nothing more than a scrap of elastic from the craft store floor, tied into a knot at one end. I fail to see what all the hype is about. Rather than paying $1.50 each for these, I'll consider going to the craft store, purchasing a yard of elastic, and making 50 of them at a fraction of the price.2
I might purchase in the future. Just not purchasing now. Wish I got a color that matches my hair.4
I have thick hair and it doesn't hold my hair up very well but it is nice to add a pop of color!2
Hold is great and it doesn't damage my hair which is very thin and fine. Much cuter than a regular ponytail holder!4
Very nice hair tie that doesn't painfully yank on my scalp. I have long hair, and it's going to be another scorching summer, so ponytails are a must. I'm going to buy a bunch of these sometime soon!4
