Part scrub and part cleanser, this smart hybrid is gritty enough to remove dead skin, yet gentle enough to nourish the fresh layer underneath. Hydrating as it exfoliates, it includes naturally moisturizing sunflower glycerides, plus lactic acid, which lessens fine lines and sun damage. Finally, antioxidants from morus nigra leaf extract make skin look healthier overall. This formula even lifts stubble to prep skin for shaving and mimize ingrown hairs.
While I found the product to be useful, I would not replace my current face scrub with this one. I felt it left a grainy residue after rinsing and I needed to use another soap to get it all off my hands.4
Made my face nice and smooth and helped in prepping for a good shave5
I don't like artificial fragrance added to my product. I like it so smell like what's in it and not to have fragrance added. I don't know why so many men's product lines feel the need to scent their products like a mens fragrance. I like the product texture and its effective. But I hate the scent.4
If you need an exfoliator it is great. My skin can be dry so I use this sparingly. But always good to have on hand for an especially oily day.needing a deep cleanse.5
The sand in the face wash left my face feeling fresh and clean. I will consider purchasing after my sample is used up.5
Really enjoy being able to use this in combination with my other grooming products, smell isn't overwhelming and it leaves skin smooth and clean.5
I received a three month subscription to Birch Box Man as a birthday gift. I was excited to try some new products. The Liquid Sand had a very pleasant sent, a nice gritty texture, and lefty skin baby smooth.5
The smell is nice, but the plastic beads make this thick lotion a bit rough. It does what it says, but there isn't anything that sets it apart from similar products.4
This is an amazing face cleanser and exfoliator. Great smell and consistancy.5
I have to admit that this product really nails it when it comes to simulating the sensation promised in its name. However, I will not use it and cannot recommend it to anyone solely because it contains polyethylene micro-beads. The gritty sand texture in this cleanser is achieved with plastic particles that are commonly found in many cosmetic products on the market, and thus contribute to plastic water pollution. Besides this disappointing issue, the cleaning was adequate and the scent was ok, but that's it, nothing special. Honestly, I think there are better scrubs out there that use renewable organic materials, like crushed nut shells or rice to exfoliate. Hopefully Billy Jealousy will eventually rethink the plastic.2
