Dads and younger brothers alike dig this dapper scent. Housed in smoky glass with a spring top reminiscent of a vintage beer bottle, John Varvatos’ cologne, like his designs, exudes a combination of off-kilter downtown cool and elegant prep. Also available in a 3.4 oz version.
I gave this to a male coworker. He really liked it and ended up signing up for the men's Birchbox.1
I am allergic to perfumes and colognes. As with all other samples of such you sent me, I had to throw it out. I wish you would customize these boxes!1
I shared the product with my fiance. I did enjoy getting a men's product and thought that was great that I could give that to him. However, the fragrance itself was a little "woodsy" for us and isn't necessarily the smell we enjoy.1
Personally, I am not a fan of this scent. When I first got a whiff of this scent I thought "It smells like cologne". Yes, I know, that's what it is... but I prefer to think that a cologne smells "fresh", "light", or "clean". The woody notes were too much for me. I picture someone in his late 40s or early 50s wearing this.1
I think John should stick with fashion design and step out of the fragrance path. I shared this with a close guy friend who was also turned off by this scent. I would like to have gotten something in the box that benefits me, not something I have to (try) to give away.1
Gave this to my boyfriend, he never used it after sniffing and was not very fond of the scent.1
I'm not a huge fan of this product. I gave it to my boyfriend and he used it once but we both didn't love the smell.1
what is the point of this? first of all this is a birch box for ME. not for a "male friend". second of all they give these samples out in the mall for free..1
Confused as to why I got a man's product in my box. This should have been in the men's birchbox.1
I was kind of annoyed to receive this product in my box. In answer to the question "When was the last time you purchased a John Varvatos product" that would be never because I'm a woman so I don't make a habit of wearing men's clothes or cologne. I did share it with a male friend, and we both agreed it was waaay too strong, but I would have rather had a product for myself, since I pay for the box!1
