Flaky elbows and scaly legs are no joke. This exfoliating mitt works harder than your usual washcloth to get rid of dead skin and dirt. You'll have smoother, healthier skin. Plus, it helps prevent razor bumps and ingrown hairs.
I purchased this for my mother who likes to use gloves & mitts instead of loofahs. She loved it and said it left her skin feeling amazing. Although, for the size and the number of uses - I think it may be a tad too expensive.4
I got this product and initially used it incorrectly (I didn't read the directions). I first used it like a washcloth...lathered it up with soap and attempted to scrub away. I was disappointed with the results. And theeen I read the directions which include steaming up the shower, turning off the water and using the glove without any soap/water.
Now it worked! It's delicate so does not hurt your skin at all and my skin is noticeably softer. The missing one star is that it's kind of a process with steaming up the shower, scrubbing, then washing your body.
I have dry, cracked feet, and this helps me buff away dead skin in an easily controllable way, unlike pumice stones. I have eczema, and this helps me keep my skin texture smooth.4
So, the primary reason I bought the Body Mitt was to help prevent ingrown hairs and pore irritation after waxing or epilating (or occasionally shaving) my legs. Turns out, I have to be very careful when exactly I use it, because it can also CAUSE as much irritation as it PREVENTS, though the little red bumps go away much quicker. While these results have improved as I've gotten more savvy about how soon to use the mitt after hair removal, the results have remained a little mixed.
That said, for the rest of my body, it has done wonders to soften and smooth my skin, including areas (like my elbows) that are prone to drying and dead skin patches. Even if I ultimately look elsewhere for my legs, I think the Body Mitt might just hang around in my shower for that reason alone.
I'm kinda on the fence about this product. It does exfoliate better than a typical loofah, but I don't see the "wow" in it like others have. Maybe it's because I already exfoliate and use lotions daily that I can't tell a major difference.
It is made from good quality fabric with good stitching. I'm by no means cheap at all, and I have no problems spending money on products (just ask Birchbox), but I do think the price tag on this item is way too high for what it is. I think $10 cheaper would be more realistic.
This product is pretty much a tougher loofah.
The body mitt has certain pros and cons, but overall I really like it. Getting the bad out of the way, the design is a bit annoying because at certain angles the mitt can slip right off your hand. Annoying. The texture was not what I expected either, however in water it is great. My skin felt amazing after using it and I really do like it, I recommend it if you are looking for something a little tougher than a loofah, but softer than a brush.4
I love smooth skin and will try almost anything to maintain my smooth skin. This is a great alternative to pricier scrubs and does help to smooth my skin. I still feel that I need to use an actual scrub to get the results I like, but I do not regret this purchase.4
Skin looks great and feels great after using, but make sure you read the instructions (it isn't what I would have done without reading!)4
I have very sensitive skin, but this really exfoliates well without irritating my skin. Plan to use this year round!4
This product easily pulls off any dirt on your body and don't capture it in its fabric. It doesn't have a weird smell to it, unlike washcloths. One less start due to my confusion of how to clean it and keep it white.4
