Professional Japanese mountain climbers use this all-over moisturizer to keep their skin protected when they're scaling Mount Everest, so you know there must be something special about it. Invented by a pharmacist back in the 1950s, Yu-Be has been Japan's top-selling skin cream for over 50 years. Great for head-to-toe hydration, it helps with all forms of stubborn dryness, including flaky red skin, chapped lips, and callused feet. The natural formula is free of ingredients like artificial dyes, fragrances, and petrolatum. It's so gentle that even infants and kids can safely use it.
I will use it on my lips, but that's it. I wouldn't put it on my skin, almost like a Vaseline consistency.3
While I agree that this makes skin feel amazing, the smell is so unpleasant that I just can't get past it. It is truly terrible.3
This product comes in a tiny tube, but you'd be surprised at how long just a little drop can go. This thick, dense skin cream is rich and is perfect for moisturizing super dry skin. I love the smell and the texture is almost vaseline like. I will definitely be purchasing the full size to have after I finish my sample.5
Maybe it's just me but this product has an odd smell to it that wasn't pleasant. That enough makes me never want to purchase it.2
It's been a never-ending search for a lotion that will help my dry hands during the winter months--and I think I finally found it! At first I was very turned off by the smell and was ready to move on just from that, but thankfully the smell faded very quickly and I was left with smooth, hydrated skin--through several hand washings! I haven't used this for anything but my hands since the sample was so small and I didn't want to use it up too quickly haha! Definitely plan on buying!!5
Initially I was a little turned off by the unattractive orange and white packaging. Also, the smell is kind of strong, but it also smells like rosemary and is kind of nice. I used it on my face at night, and my skin felt very supple in the morning. A little goes a long way, so in preparation for the long winter I think I'll be purchasing a tube.5
Definitely my least favorite sample I've received from Birchbox. I didn't find it to be very effective and the smell is so bad it made my eyes burn.1
I've been looking at this product for awhile, so was excited to receive a sample in my birchbox. I was surprised by the camphor scent, but it does fade after applying. So far, it is working well, but I'm looking forward to trying it out longer to see if it keeps dry skin away. Winter is the perfect time of year to try this out.5
I don't from very dry skin but decided to give this a try anyways. I was expecting to love this cream but it fell short. It felt really heavy on my skin and had a very thick consistency that was hard to apply. Also the smell was very medicinal. While it is moisturizing I feel like it takes a long time for your skin to absorb and on par with using Carmax as a moisturizer. I used it on some parts of my face and it left my skin very shiny. I probably wouldn't purchase this again.2
This stuff doesn't smell great, and isn't as effective as they advertise. It was just ok, nothing I would go spending money on.4
