Professional Japanese mountain climbers use this all-over moisturizer to keep their skin protected when they're scaling Mount Everest, so you know there must be something special about it. Invented by a pharmacist back in the 1950s, Yu-Be has been Japan's top-selling skin cream for over 50 years. Great for head-to-toe hydration, it helps with all forms of stubborn dryness, including flaky red skin, chapped lips, and callused feet. The natural formula is free of ingredients like artificial dyes, fragrances, and petrolatum. It's so gentle that even infants and kids can safely use it.
Around the same time my birchbox arrived I had been working 85 hours a week in the kitchen, which was wreaking havoc on my hands via handwashing constantly. Less than 3 days later, the chapped and cracked areas on my hands was significantly diminishing thanks to this product and ONLY this product.5
This product smells and feels like a certain sticky yellow lip product that is very popular and is sold in tiny jars. Although, I have to says it does work really well. Dab it on any rough spots and it is smooth the next morning.4
This was a very moisturizing product. I did not care for the smell.4
This felt nice on my skin and worked well under makeup. It was moisturizing, but nothing special.3
I did not like this, I felt like I was simply putting a bottle of Vaseline on myself. I will not be purchasing this product, I have Vaseline at home I will use that if I need to feel like I have greased myself. Sorry.2
I was weary when I saw this in my box as I am pretty picky about what I apply on my face. I have very finicky skin that tends to break out when applying new products but this thankfully did not cause that. It's a nice product to own in the Chicago area as the winters here can be pretty brutal and anything that helps calm my skin and keep it moisturized is ok in my book.4
I Thought this stuff did a great job moisturizing (especially since it's colder and my hands get super dry). My only issue is the smell...I can't describe it but it's not very pleasant.5
leaves an oily feel to hands and the smell is very medicinal3
Used this on my lips after my nose surgery and was a life saver. One application on my hands and lips helped take care of dry itchy cracked skin!5
I misread this creme at first. I thought it was a face cream but it is much to think and harsh for my face. I ended up using it on my elbows and knees where I have rougher patches and it worked great!4
