Professional Japanese mountain climbers use this all-over moisturizer to keep their skin protected when they're scaling Mount Everest, so you know there must be something special about it. Invented by a pharmacist back in the 1950s, Yu-Be has been Japan's top-selling skin cream for over 50 years. Great for head-to-toe hydration, it helps with all forms of stubborn dryness, including flaky red skin, chapped lips, and callused feet. The natural formula is free of ingredients like artificial dyes, fragrances, and petrolatum. It's so gentle that even infants and kids can safely use it.
It works very well on dry, chapped skin. I used it on my children's sensitive skin with no issues. The camphor smell goes away within a few minutes5
I have super, super dry skin, especially when the seasons are changing, and this cream is really helpful when trying to counteract that. I use it only when my skin is really irritated or flakey and it clears up overnight.4
Cracking dry elbows from a winter of heat and the beginning of humidity-blasting AC are gone with a few days of this stuff!
A larger sample would give me a chance to tell you more about its work on eczema patches and other dry patches, but it will have to wait until I have some more to try - which I very well might!
This product smells awful! Used it one time and threw it out3
I was excited to try this because I am always looking for a good moisturizer for my elbows and such. I did find it very effective but was shocked by the smell. It smelled more like medicine then a beauty product.4
The creme has a nice texture, not greasy- but I don't care for the vapor rub smell. Also, the packaging was very small. Hard to find in my bag!4
My lips were really dry and I tried this on wondering how much it would do and it was probably going to be like any other chapstick. This was not like any other chapstick. It made my lips really soft and it kept them soft throughout the day.5
I used this on my cuticles and I can see such an improvement in them. The very inexpensive (cheap) soap that I wash my hands in at work really dries out my hands, but for some reason it really does a number on my cuticles. After using Yu-Be my cuticles have been restored. Love this product.
I did not like the smell of this product and had high expectations after reading the package. I have many other lotions and creams that do a better job of moisturizing. I was a bit disappointed.3
It did add moisture quite well but can buy cheaper and get same results. Overall great product.3
