Professional Japanese mountain climbers use this all-over moisturizer to keep their skin protected when they're scaling Mount Everest, so you know there must be something special about it. Invented by a pharmacist back in the 1950s, Yu-Be has been Japan's top-selling skin cream for over 50 years. Great for head-to-toe hydration, it helps with all forms of stubborn dryness, including flaky red skin, chapped lips, and callused feet. The natural formula is free of ingredients like artificial dyes, fragrances, and petrolatum. It's so gentle that even infants and kids can safely use it.
This cream made my face feel greasy. The smell has a menthol hint to it which I equate with sore muscle cream not a face cream.2
The sample was so small, that I could only use it once--and anyone with dry skin knows once is not enough to get results. I was intrigued that the instructions recommended using on feet, but with only one use, I'll never know if this could have been effective.3
Product was awesome and I would purchase it for more use.4
Moisturizing? Very. Cutesy packaging? Yes! Stinky? OMG. This cream just plain smelled 'off' to me. It does a great job of doing exactly what it should, but I can't get past the smell. Sorry, Yu-Be, just not for me.3
Smell didn't bother me so much but it could be better. I personally tend to use things that smell great. I used it on my lips and it made them soft but no more than any other moisturizer. It did leave a greasy feeling on my hands but my dry skin absorbed it. I might get the full size but haven't made up my mind yet.4
This moisturizing cream had a scent of Vaseline which i didnt care for. The texture was nice and didnt leave a greasy feel. Great for even very dry skin.4
I did not feel a difference in my skin and it was too greasy for my taste2
I didn't like anything about this product. The smell is horrible and it was so sticky, I had to wash it off.1
My husband had very flaky dry skin on his face. After one application of this product he noticed a considerable difference in the dryness. The smell is not overly powerful and dissipates quickly. We will definitely be buying more of this!5
If you don't mind the scent - a bit like bengay or some kind of herbal medicine but not nearly as overwhelming - this is a fantastic moisturizer. I don't find the scent lasts long and I suspect it is from the b vitamins in the product. It seems greasy at first but absorbs quickly into my needy skin. Anyone who struggles with ashy hands and what comes of needing to use a intensive moisturizer to prevents you from being able to touch anything for 20 minutes will appreciate this product. I will be relying on this next winter.4
