Professional Japanese mountain climbers use this all-over moisturizer to keep their skin protected when they're scaling Mount Everest, so you know there must be something special about it. Invented by a pharmacist back in the 1950s, Yu-Be has been Japan's top-selling skin cream for over 50 years. Great for head-to-toe hydration, it helps with all forms of stubborn dryness, including flaky red skin, chapped lips, and callused feet. The natural formula is free of ingredients like artificial dyes, fragrances, and petrolatum. It's so gentle that even infants and kids can safely use it.
It does an ok job as far as moisturizing, but the smell is so strong, I can't use this product.3
This smell really reminded me of Carmex lip balm whihc I absolutely hate. This was way too thick and gloppy. Just not a fan and don't have much to say about it because I am passing it along to someone else.2
I've been using this as a spot moisturizer for very dry areas -- on my forehead, cuticles, lips. It's very effective for this, and I love that it's not petroleum based. It's a tiny sample but a little goes a long way. The camphory smell is intense but if you only use a tiny bit you don't mind it, and it dissipates quickly.4
I travel a lot so I like receiving samples of face moisturizer. My mail concern with this one is that it is too thick for my liking - I have combination skin so I'm worried that it will cause me to breakout on my nose and chin. Not a keeper for me but might work for someone with dry skin.3
This works wonders for dry, "chapped " winter skin! Love it!5
I've been using this mostly as lip balm since the same was so tiny. It's like a nicer Vaseline. Not quite as gooey. It tastes pretty bad though.4
The smell and texture is like Vaseline, I personally love it. My chapped lips were smooth after a day of use and made my cracked hands so smooth I love it5
This is a fantastic skin cream. I use it as hand cream. Don't be put off by the strong camphor smell. It goes away minutes after applying and leaves your skin perfectly moisturized with no scent at all. Great for dry winter skin.5
This does seem to be moisturizing but the texture and smell is like vapor rub. The sample size is tiny so I didn't get to try it much before it ran out.3
I really liked this because I had some severe dry skin patches on my face that actually hurt. After the first application it felt better. I used everyday for about 4 days and the dry patches were gone. I will definitely purchase this in the future.4
