Professional Japanese mountain climbers use this all-over moisturizer to keep their skin protected when they're scaling Mount Everest, so you know there must be something special about it. Invented by a pharmacist back in the 1950s, Yu-Be has been Japan's top-selling skin cream for over 50 years. Great for head-to-toe hydration, it helps with all forms of stubborn dryness, including flaky red skin, chapped lips, and callused feet. The natural formula is free of ingredients like artificial dyes, fragrances, and petrolatum. It's so gentle that even infants and kids can safely use it.
I really didn't enjoy this product. It has a very strong smell and I felt it made my skin irritated. Will not be purchasing, not for me!1
My skin isn't too dry so was a little too heavy, but my skin did look refreshed after using. A little goes a long way.4
I have very sensitive skin and it gets super dry so I was excited to try it. it says it doesn't have a smell but when I put it on all I could do is smell the camphor in it and it totally made me not want to use it. If you don't mind the smell it is a good product for dry skin.3
While it did moisturize my hands well, it smelled very funky and off-putting. Also, the lotion was a strange yellow color, not very pleasing to pull out in public when I need to moisturize my dry hands.3
Grat moisturizer for spot treatment – dry skin from a sunburn, acne – but I couldn't use it over my whole face. Was very thick and kind of clinical smelling, more like a Vaseline. Nice to have on hand for super moisture though (I like to use it overnight on trouble spots).5
This has really helped my cracked knuckles. The smell dissipates after a few minutes.5
Basically lotion, nothing special. It smelled weird so definitely not my fav3
The packaging is not very attractive - almost medical, really. It's also pretty difficult to determine long term effectiveness due to the tiny sample size. Overall, I feel pretty neutral about this product.4
Great moisturizer , it's nice to see what's popular in other countries !!4
I don't climb mountains. I've never been to Japan. The ingredients and premise of the moisturizer are appealing though. I shall try it on my heels.1
