Klorane's dry shampoo is such a star, were convinced it deserves its own spot on the Hollywood Beauty Walk of Fame. The longtime choice of celebs like Gwyneth Paltrow and Diane Kruger, its been praised for its versatility as a grease buster, volumizer, and waterless cleanser (no wonder it snagged Allure's Best of Beauty Award). Made with softening oat milk extracts, plus corn and rice starches, this ultrafine powder spray leaves nary a trace of residue behind. It performs a heroic array of functions: It soaks up oil and sweat from your roots and helps revive second day hair, amps up volume and helps extend the life of blowouts, and can be used as a texturing aide when you're trying to perfect a tricky updo.
Goes on really really white. Brushes out OK, but does leave a little white behind. It does leave hair soft, not so stiff like other dry shampoos.3
The spray is very powerful. I didn't love the smell and I don't know that it is very effective.3
I used the dry shampoo this morning (on clean hair) just to give it a try... Very powerful spray... so hold a good distance from your scalp. Smell was ok at first but a little strong by the time i had gone over my whole head. Decent product but I will stick with my cheaper brand since I rarely skip washing my hair.3
I had never used a dry shampoo before this sample. It seemed to work, but I don't have anything to compare it to. I'm not sure if I'm comfortable with a dry shampoo.3
I have tried a lot of different dry shampoos as I try to wash my hair as little as possible to keep my color from fading. This one was okay, but not great. It is a very traditional dry shampoo in that it is just straight-up white powder, so especially if you are dark-haired like me, you must use it sparingly and blend, blend, blend. It did do a good job of sucking the grease out of my bangs. Even so, it left my bangs a little dull/matte and slightly grayish. Also, the smell is not too pleasant.3
I wish there was a dry shampoo in every birchbox! Love it3
This works well as a dry shampoo but I'd rather not use dry shampoo because I don't like the powder effect.3
Haven’t really been interested in going the way of dry shampoo, but there have been occasions when I’ve woken up late and did the minimal to get out the door, and hey, maybe this would be valuable in that kind of situation! I used it this morning and almost died laughing. After the first spray my head was completely white! I looked like Jay Leno. But I followed the directions and waited two minutes before brushing out. Most of the white went away and I didn’t notice any flaking. My head/hair was grease free all day, but my hair also felt slightly sticky, so didn’t really like that. Probably won’t be using dry shampoo in the future. It was fun to try though!3
I don't normally use dry shampoo but this one was very nice. It did not leave my hair feeling chalky like a lot of dry shampoos do. Also, it had a pleasant smell.3
I am on the fence with this one...
This was the one sample I was super excited to try. Luckily it came on a day when I was able to try it out ( I shampoo every other day). After a couple of sprays and a few minutes it seems to have worked without a tacky feeling (which the non powder feelings seem to have) but I really did not like the smell of this product, a combo of hair spray smell and aerosol propellant...will try again another day...
