Klorane's dry shampoo is such a star, were convinced it deserves its own spot on the Hollywood Beauty Walk of Fame. The longtime choice of celebs like Gwyneth Paltrow and Diane Kruger, its been praised for its versatility as a grease buster, volumizer, and waterless cleanser (no wonder it snagged Allure's Best of Beauty Award). Made with softening oat milk extracts, plus corn and rice starches, this ultrafine powder spray leaves nary a trace of residue behind. It performs a heroic array of functions: It soaks up oil and sweat from your roots and helps revive second day hair, amps up volume and helps extend the life of blowouts, and can be used as a texturing aide when you're trying to perfect a tricky updo.
I have dark hair and it didn't show up too much in my hair, but when using it to spruce up my hair 1 day after being washed, I felt that it made my hair feel dirtier and flatter.1
I gave this product a couple of tries, but each time I had the same result. I felt like my hair was still greasy and the texture was gross to me. It worked for about an hour, but after that hour was up my hair would go back to the way it was. I was really hoping it was going to be wonderful since I am constantly on the go. It might just be the texture of my hair since it's very fine and becomes oily after a long day (a lot of it is due to me playing with it and running my hands through it)1
I have nothing against this brand or this product, but I am not a fan of dry shampoo period. I have to wash my hair every day; otherwise I feel dirty. I did however skip a day or two over the weekend to try this product. It most definitely did what it was supposed to. It helped eliminate the oil, added volume, and was easy to work through my hair. The scent was not unpleasant and it didn't leave a powdery residue, which is what I was expecting. Again, great products, does what it should, but I am not a fan of dry shampoo. I would love to try other Klorane products!1
Unfortunately this product was way too powdery for my hair. i find that's a problem with many dry shampoos, but this one was worse.1
I was really impressed with how easy this was to use, as well as how effective it worked... but I really, REALLY disliked the scent! Other than that, I thought it did a great job of getting rid of second-day greasies around my roots and helping amp up volume; I just couldn't get past the scent.1
Not for folks with fine straight hair ...
I can see the difference, but it doesn't help any with trying to style hair that isn't fresh. My fine hair just looks limp and sad, and the more product I add to solve that just makes the next wash more difficult. I'm better off taking the time to shower.
I sprayed this stuff for oil absorption and volume, and this made my hair look completely white and grey. it was awful! I had to rub it off and decided to use a dry shampoo I already had for the job.1
I use dry shampoo often. I like how the extra product helps me to take my stick straight hair and add curls. I had high hopes for this dry shampoo. I liked the scent, the texture in my hair and it didn't leave a dusty look like some others do in my dark hair. After using this product, my hair did not maintain its curl like it normally does. It made my hair too heavy. I will go back to my usual dry shampoo.1
My hair was still oily, felt gross and now looked like I dumped baby powder on it, even though I shook it and sprayed from a distance in short bursts just at the root. I have yet to find a dry shampoo I like, in the meantime the old body spray works.1
I don't use dry shampoos, so my review may not be worth much. I appreciate that it's totally organic - and I know that would appeal to many. My issue is I have darker brown hair, and this was white on my hair - and it was hard to blend. Past that, I have curly, dry hair - mine doesn't get very oily, so I don't really need this. Smells nice, though!1
