From hangnails to dry knuckles, your hands are subject to a whole slew of issues. Luckily, this intense salve provides long-lasting relief to delicate, over-worked hands. Formulated with over ten natural oils and plant extracts, it penetrates deep beneath your skin’s surface, revealing softer skin and revitalized cuticles. Plus, we love how all its ingredients are ethically sourced.
This salve has done a pretty good job of softening hands and nails after a cold, drying winter. I've mostly used this for nails, so it doesn't bother me that you wouldn't pick up enough product for your hands in one or two swipes. The salve sinks it after a few minutes, so I just rub it in and type away at my desk. No problems with the lid, which fit snugly.
The only drawback was the scent, which I didn't like, but I'm not a lavender fan. That said, I'm very intrigued by the green tea & aloe version and might purchase that in full size.
I liked the idea of this product. But when I tried it it was really oily on my fingers. I have sensitive skin, so one brush of my face and I know I'd be breaking out!
I tried using it before bed and that helped a little.
The lemon scent is amazing and so fresh compared to the other chemical-y smells out there for nail products. I use this before my at-home manicures or if my nails need a little extra help before bed. Though it seems greasy, it really nourishes any dry skin rather quickly.4
I like this salve because it makes my cuticles look great when it's on. Trust me I have some of the worst cuticles... I pick at them daily and they are extremely dry that even a manicure would only last me 1 to 2 days at most. The problem about this salve is that it only looks great when it's on, but onces it washes off or it's gone my cuticles goes back to looking horrible and dry... I just got a manicure 2 days ago too. I wish that it had a better long term effect. Other than that it smells great, moisturizes my dry skin really well and gives my cuticles a healthy short term look. =) For the price that it is this is a great deal. The Sephora one runs about $14 and it also exfoliates the cuticles while moisturizing, but is also so-so... I think I will pair the two together to see if it would give a better result.4
This is the first time I've tried this product, and I loved it! The smell was great, and I can tell a difference in my cuticles. I have to get used to applying it more often. The only complaint I have is the leftover residue when I apply it...it leaves my fingers a little greasy, but I think that's just part of it. Still love it! Scent was great!5
My cuticles have been a mess all winter, peeling, bleeding and painful. I saw marked improvement after only 2 uses and within a week couldn't even tell that there was any issue!5
This product is so greasy that it is almost un-useable to me. I really could not tell what effect the product has because it grossed me out to have it on my hands, and I washed it right off.2
This product made my hand feel greasy, It wasn't for me.3
seems overly greasy at first, but absorbs quickly. don't care for the lavender scent. good product, but probably won't use on a regular basis or buy.3
I received the lavender sample in my box and it smells WONDERFUL. It is a bit oily at first, but it has absorbed nicely into my hands and softened them. Like others, I had a hard time opening the sample size tin, but I definitely plan to purchase this one when my sample runs out.5
