From hangnails to dry knuckles, your hands are subject to a whole slew of issues. Luckily, this intense salve provides long-lasting relief to delicate, over-worked hands. Formulated with over ten natural oils and plant extracts, it penetrates deep beneath your skin’s surface, revealing softer skin and revitalized cuticles. Plus, we love how all its ingredients are ethically sourced.
This product took me by surprise. I work in the medical field where you are constantly washing your hands, as a result my hands are very dry and chapped. This stuff literally is a life saver. The smell is also very nice. It doesn't smell chemically in the least.5
I have the driest cuticles on earth. Seriously. These things are not pretty or feminine or pleasing to look at. If I remember to really rub in a thick salve every night, I can mitigate the situation. But EVERY night is important. What I like about J.R. Watkins Hand Salve is the lovely lemon scent and the fact that if I take just a minute to rub the salve in over and over all over my hands, the product loses any greasy feeling and I'm left with lovely hands that aren't going to leave prints on my Kindle. And the packaging makes me feel like it's almost a prescription. Voila!5
I love all J. R. Watkins products and this product was no exception.5
I read the reviews of the other folks that loved this product. Others suggested putting it on before bed, which is when I love to put on a rich, creamy lotion. I bought this is lavendar and think I am a bit of a genious. The salve is ultra moisturizing, I notived a difference right away, and the smell is perfect to lull me into a relaxing nights rest. If you have dry hands and want to give them some over night love, this is perfect!!5
This cuticle salve does not do it's job! I have VERY dry cuticles that peel and crack. This salve is too thin - it just doesn't moisturize enough! It is also very greasy and leaves a gross film on your hands.1
is really greasy when you first apply but gets better if you thoroughly rub your hands together. not a fan of the lavender scent3
Good product, but not good to take along in a handbag, the greasy feeling takes a little while to go away.3
This salve has done a pretty good job of softening hands and nails after a cold, drying winter. I've mostly used this for nails, so it doesn't bother me that you wouldn't pick up enough product for your hands in one or two swipes. The salve sinks it after a few minutes, so I just rub it in and type away at my desk. No problems with the lid, which fit snugly.
The only drawback was the scent, which I didn't like, but I'm not a lavender fan. That said, I'm very intrigued by the green tea & aloe version and might purchase that in full size.
I liked the idea of this product. But when I tried it it was really oily on my fingers. I have sensitive skin, so one brush of my face and I know I'd be breaking out!
I tried using it before bed and that helped a little.
The lemon scent is amazing and so fresh compared to the other chemical-y smells out there for nail products. I use this before my at-home manicures or if my nails need a little extra help before bed. Though it seems greasy, it really nourishes any dry skin rather quickly.4
