We desperately try to adhere to the less-is-more philosophy, and Dr. Jart’s Water Fuse Beauty Balm helps us minimize our routine. A moisturizer, sunscreen, and treatment serum all-in-one, this tinted BB cream even helps hide imperfections—so there’s no need for foundation or cover-up. Think of it as the Swiss Army Knife of your beauty cabinet.
I have very oily skin. I currently use a medium coverage, mattifying foundation. Of course, I don't really want to have to use a heavy foundation, I just find that it's the only thing that controls my oil well enough. So, I never really considered using a BB cream. I'm so glad this last Birch Box contained this product! It goes on smoothly, has good lasting power, and didn't oxidize like I imagined it would. It will be great for summer wear!4
I have very fair skin and usually need to wear a layer of sunblock when roaming around outside. Between the sunblock and maybe sweat it's hard to wear any makeup which can be tough if you have any blemishes or red spots. This is a really neat little product to protect against the sun and even out your skin without looking like you have makeup caked on.4
I liked this product. I am a big fan of moisturizers with sunscreen, so I was very excited about this product. However, there was hardly any of the beauty balm in my sample. Bummer!4
I do want to love this product so much because I love how weightless it feels on your face when you apply it. It feels like water almost being applied. My only down fall is that it is not enough coverage for me.4
I actually may purchase in a few months. My issue is the tinted moisturizer that I currently use gives me a lot more color coverage than this product. I loved the other benefits and the smoothness of the Dr. Jart sample, but the color just wasn't there. I may consider purchasing in a month or two after I bronze up a bit during the summer.4
The formulation is nice and the color seemed a little too light for my face but I like how light the product is.4
I really like it, this is the first time i try a BB cream and i have noticed that my skin doesnt get so oily during the day.4
The Dr Jart Beauty Balm was the first beauty balm that I've ever tried, thus I can't compare it to others. It went on creamy, and dried in seconds. I have combination skin and it felt nice on all areas of my face. It did not sweat off during the day or even during light exercise and it came off with my mild cleanser.4
This was a really nice foundation/moisturizer combo that blended with my skin tone perfectly. I was sad that the sample only came with enough for one application of the face. I would buy this if the product sizes were a little more generous.4
Upon receiving my May Birchbox, this BB cream is the product I was most excited about. I did worry that the color would not be a good match for me as I have a medium/slightly tan skintone and I know that BB creams run light. Thankfully that was not the case! This BB cream blended perfectly into my skin and did not give me a grey cast. The first thing I noticed was that my skin felt moisturized, but did not look greasy; a plus for my oily skin. It did provide some coverage, but for darker acne hyperpigmentation spots you may need to use a concealer. Overall, the product has worn well throughout the day, and I don't look greasy at all. There is a slight dewiness, but it looks like a healthy glow. I definitely recommend this product!4
