We desperately try to adhere to the less-is-more philosophy, and Dr. Jart's Water Fuse Beauty Balm helps us minimize our routine. A moisturizer, sunscreen, and treatment serum all-in-one, this tinted BB cream even helps hide imperfections—so there's no need for foundation or cover-up. Made with 50 percent water, the brand's Advanced Water Bead Technology helps hydrate and maintain healthy moisture for a dewy, fresh look, with additonal help from hyaluronic acid and aloe vera. Sebum-regulating ingredients keep your complexion from becoming greasy, and the broad-spectrum SPF 25+ blocks harmful UVA and UVB rays. Free of sulfates and phthalates.
i had never used a bb cream before and i loved this. the texture was amazing and it smells like sunscreen. it definitely evened my skin tone!5
This Beauty Balm is wonderful! It was my first time ever using a Beauty Balm and I love it! The tint is great and it's so lightweight. It also seemed to stay on all day and gave a great "glow" to my skin. I love it!5
I really liked the high SPF in this BB cream, it was probably my favorite part! The product was really light when I first put it on and I had to blend it really, really well, or else my face was too light in some spots (I already have light skin). But when I carefully blended it in, it matched my skin tone.
It left my skin very hydrated and dewy, which was awesome because I always seem to have dry areas. I wore this under my Stila Stay All Day foundation and under-eye concealer and finished it off with a setting powder to keep my skin from looking too oily throughout the day!
Thanks Birchbox! :)
This product really grew on me after a couple of uses. I love the way my skin feels and I love not having to put on an additional layer of SPF. I have fairly even skin tone, so I this was all the foundation I needed! There were a few tense moments when my skin looked a little washed-out after applying, but that quickly faded. It's a good primer for make-up too. Great product.4
I have little experience with BB creams but I am impressed with this one so far, and I'm loving it for an under eye "concealer" too!!4
I have never tried a BB cream before but I have to say I was not impressed. It seemed okay but I would not recommend it.3
I was skeptical about all the BB hype this year, but I have to say I am impressed with Dr. Jart's Water Fuse. I prefer my normal skincare routine with separate primer and foundation for every day because I feel it's more nourishing long term. However, I highly recommend this as a light travel option or when you're in a hurry.
I only needed a very small amount to cover my face, which did a surprisingly excellent job of evening my skintone, especially since I was in many situations that normally cause redness. I have sensitive combination skin and it was neither drying nor hydrating. It didn't wash me out, I didn't break out, it wasn't irritating, I didn't look overly made up, and it lasted all day. If you occasionally wish you could simplify and just take out one tube instead of a multi-step system, I highly recommend trying out Dr Jart!
While I enjoyed the product and the coverage it offered, I did not enjoy the smell. The product smelled like sunscreen, which I'm sure is normal, I just don't enjoy beauty products that have an overly strong smell to them.4
As a sunscreen, I found the Dr. Jart's to be a bit oily; as a cover/foundation, it was too sheer; and as a moisturizer it was too heavy. It could be a good stand-alone product at the beach, but for every day use I wasn't impressed.2
It's nice to have a multi-purpose product. I've heard great reviews on this, however for my olive skin, this left my skin a bit white and ashy. It didn't blend well. It was a bit thick and I couldn't blend it well. It did provide nice coverage though. I'm just finishing my sample and I may try other BB creams.3
