We desperately try to adhere to the less-is-more philosophy, and Dr. Jart's Water Fuse Beauty Balm helps us minimize our routine. A moisturizer, sunscreen, and treatment serum all-in-one, this tinted BB cream even helps hide imperfections—so there's no need for foundation or cover-up. Made with 50 percent water, the brand's Advanced Water Bead Technology helps hydrate and maintain healthy moisture for a dewy, fresh look, with additonal help from hyaluronic acid and aloe vera. Sebum-regulating ingredients keep your complexion from becoming greasy, and the broad-spectrum SPF 25+ blocks harmful UVA and UVB rays. Free of sulfates and phthalates.
I have never tried a BB cream before but I have to say I was not impressed. It seemed okay but I would not recommend it.3
I was skeptical about all the BB hype this year, but I have to say I am impressed with Dr. Jart's Water Fuse. I prefer my normal skincare routine with separate primer and foundation for every day because I feel it's more nourishing long term. However, I highly recommend this as a light travel option or when you're in a hurry.
I only needed a very small amount to cover my face, which did a surprisingly excellent job of evening my skintone, especially since I was in many situations that normally cause redness. I have sensitive combination skin and it was neither drying nor hydrating. It didn't wash me out, I didn't break out, it wasn't irritating, I didn't look overly made up, and it lasted all day. If you occasionally wish you could simplify and just take out one tube instead of a multi-step system, I highly recommend trying out Dr Jart!
While I enjoyed the product and the coverage it offered, I did not enjoy the smell. The product smelled like sunscreen, which I'm sure is normal, I just don't enjoy beauty products that have an overly strong smell to them.4
As a sunscreen, I found the Dr. Jart's to be a bit oily; as a cover/foundation, it was too sheer; and as a moisturizer it was too heavy. It could be a good stand-alone product at the beach, but for every day use I wasn't impressed.2
It's nice to have a multi-purpose product. I've heard great reviews on this, however for my olive skin, this left my skin a bit white and ashy. It didn't blend well. It was a bit thick and I couldn't blend it well. It did provide nice coverage though. I'm just finishing my sample and I may try other BB creams.3
I like Dr. Jart's Beauty Balm. I've only tried one other BB cream as of yet, but I'm happier with Dr. Jart's in part because, being pale, the color is not too heavily tinted. In other "light" solutions, I still look orange and masked, but I didn't have that problem with this product. It's also nice and light under makeup.4
Used this product under my foundation! Went on smooth and covered wrinkles and evened out skin tone.4
I liked the texture and smell of this product, but unfortunately the color was too light for my skin. I may purchase in a different color, though.4
This is the BEST product for primer/moisturizer. I LOVE it! It gives a hint of color while moisturizing and making your skin more even all over. And it smells like sunscreen! :D Which is also good for wrinkles and reducing aging.5
I'm new to BB creams, and now I know what the fuss is about. This is great stuff. I am planning on trying out a different Dr Jart that has mineral sunblock, as opposed to this one which has chemical sunscreen. But, other than that, this would be perfect.4
