We desperately try to adhere to the less-is-more philosophy, and Dr. Jart's Water Fuse Beauty Balm helps us minimize our routine. A moisturizer, sunscreen, and treatment serum all-in-one, this tinted BB cream even helps hide imperfections—so there's no need for foundation or cover-up. Made with 50 percent water, the brand's Advanced Water Bead Technology helps hydrate and maintain healthy moisture for a dewy, fresh look, with additonal help from hyaluronic acid and aloe vera. Sebum-regulating ingredients keep your complexion from becoming greasy, and the broad-spectrum SPF 25+ blocks harmful UVA and UVB rays. Free of sulfates and phthalates.
Not too heavy, great for days when you don't want to put on a lot of makeup.5
I have been using tinted moisturizers in place of foundation for about 4 years and this is one that I absolutely love. Great coverage, smooth application and the tint blends so well with my skin tone you wouldn't even know I was wearing it.5
This was an awesome face cream/coverup! very smooth light and even on my skin! It even covered my lupus rash with out irritating it!!5
I didn't have a lot of familiarity with BB creams before I received this one and figured it'd just be another slightly tinted foundation. Wrong. It totally preps the skin, buildable coverage, and feels great. I usually wear a medium coverage foundation; during warm days, it was perfect to blend a little of this on, a touch of blush and mascara, and out we go! Does a great job of evening skin tone. I'll be adding this to my collection!4
Great product for when you are out in the sun and want coverage but no heavy foundation.5
I was excited to try this product and when I did, I really liked the smooth texture. However, the color sample I received was way too light for my olive skin--made me look very pale. Once I added a little bronzer, It did give me a great finish thought and kept me oil free throughout the day. I would like to try it again, alone, but I need to get the right shade.4
I have tried other high end BB creams, and this one was my least favorite. Somehow it just doesn't have any sort of significant coverage, and the time window to blend is noticeably less than other brands. Must use an additional bronzer if you have any speck of tan.2
Not sure if this is the right color for me... when I first put in on, it made me look really pale and pasty. Once I put on bronzer/blush, it looked better, but it made my skin kind of greasy throughout the day. It was very moisturizing though, and it definitely evened out my skin tone- I didn't really need any concealer for my blemishes after putting it on.3
Went on easily & blended well. A nice product, but prefer my tinted moisturizers. Would consider purchasing when those supplies were used up.3
I'm not sure what to think of this product. As far as the sample size goes, I am happy with the .1 Fl. Oz.- it isn't a huge amount, obviously, but it is enough to use it a couple of times to decide if you like it. Having never used a BB cream before, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I have heard they are merely glorified tinted moisturizers. The company markets this product as " multi-action skincare + makeup." While I do feel the skincare benefits when applying (I can smell the SPF and feel like a slight tingle upon application which makes me think something must be happening), the makeup claim is a big one. This provides zero coverage, although it may act as a decent primer to make your foundation go on more smoothly. The verdict is still out on this product. I will use it until it is gone, and hopefully see the skincare benefits. Either way, I was happy to see a BB cream in my Birchbox, and hope they continue to include popular, new products.3
