We desperately try to adhere to the less-is-more philosophy, and Dr. Jart's Water Fuse Beauty Balm helps us minimize our routine. A moisturizer, sunscreen, and treatment serum all-in-one, this tinted BB cream even helps hide imperfections—so there's no need for foundation or cover-up. Made with 50 percent water, the brand's Advanced Water Bead Technology helps hydrate and maintain healthy moisture for a dewy, fresh look, with additonal help from hyaluronic acid and aloe vera. Sebum-regulating ingredients keep your complexion from becoming greasy, and the broad-spectrum SPF 25+ blocks harmful UVA and UVB rays. Free of sulfates and phthalates.
I love that this has a sunscreen and foundation base. My favorite part, though, is that it's not at all greasy!5
My skin did not absorb well and it smelled of sunscreen. Tizo makes a better version of tinted sunscreen made with zinc oxide and titanium dioxide.1
It works really well and does nourish skin. However I wouldn't buy it because I never use creams.5
This stuff is great-- I was skeptical about how dark it looked, but it blended perfectly with my super fair skin. I really like the water based formula, it goes on a lot easier than other bb creams I've tried. The coverage is good; I just use a little concealer with this product.5
I LOVE this product! It's ease of use during the summer months is a must for everyone.5
Overall I liked the product, but it might be a bit light for some people. It also left the skin feeling a bit tacky.3
This sample was super chintzy. The very first time I used it I had to squeeze the tube like I was trying to get the very last drops out. Lame.2
I tried the other Dr. Jart BB Cream (45 SPF), and I did not like how the color and texture resonated on my face. It seemed a little heavy, and more like a thick foundation. However, after trying this Water Fuse BB Cream, I am totally hooked! Once I found out that the little tube in our Birchbox was enough for over 15 applications, I thought that this was a great investment. I would bet that the full-size bottle will last me close to 2 years! This cream needs to be paired with a powder since it is shiny. So, I would recommend Bare Minerals Mineral Veil SPF 25!!
Here is how I applied this product:
1. Facial Wash
2. Facial SPF moisturizer
3. BB Cream
4. Bare Mineral's Mineral Veil
5. Bronzer and light blush
That's it! I looked like I had a professional, natural-looking make-up job!
This is pretty much awesome. It protects my skin from the sun, gives me great coverage and helps hold my powders and shawdows in place longer!5
I already owned this product before getting it in Birchbox but I really like it! Most think it's like a tinted moisturizer but it's really not--it is definitely thicker than a tinted moisturizer & gives just a little more coverage. It was great because I suggested it to my mom to try, so it was nice that I could just give her the sample I got in Birchbox. The only issue is that since it has SPF, in pictures it can make your face look pale. Other than that, it is an amazing product and great for the summertime!5
